Katie Mikolay Gensler's first exposure to racing came at a young age, attending Arlington Park with her family on weekends where she grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She has been a racing analyst for the last nine years and has worked at multiple racetracks across the country. She also has made special appearances on TVG Network, Fox Sports and NBC Sports. Race 1: SUGAR CUBE (5) is a consistent runner at longer distances on the dirt to be major player at short odds. SEEMS A FORTUNE (6) should improve second time going route with a solid trip in stalking position. KNOCKOUT GIRL (1) will be dangerous from the gate while running fresh.
Race 2: OUR TRACK (2) exits a key race to make his second start off a long layoff and runs with blinkers on. SAIL AHOY (6) ran well as a 3yo in some tough spots and another that should improve in this spot. WAR DADDY (5) leads into this race off a victory and competitive with a smooth trip.
Race 3: UNDRAFTED (8) is full of class with a good series of works and the race sets up well for the closer to be the one to beat. FRONT POCKET MONEY (6) is a graded stakeswinner that could be ready to fire off the bench from the Asmussen barn (19%). LATENT REVENGE (7) has a snappy breeze to be quick from the start.
Race 4: CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS (2) broke her maiden at Keeneland and most recent trips have been rough to perform better with a nice early pace set up. RUNWAY DOLL (4) is looking for a big comeback off the break with consistent works. OUR MAJESTY (5) hopes for a better trip to make it three wins in a row in her eyes and has been able to handle pressure on front to be tough.
Race 5: UNSTABLED (2) gets some class relief and cuts back distance with some early speed. STORMIN MCLEAN (5) drops in class and moves to the dirt with a new rider in the irons if price is right. HICKORY ISLAND (6) improved in his latest and barn has been hot at Keeneland.
Race 6: SAKONNET (1) gets the inside draw with the highest figures on the grass as he makes his second start over the turf. SENTRY (5) raced evenly on debut and training forwardly for a better effort at second asking. NOW IN A DRIVE (12) makes his first start as 3yo with good works and first time Lasix.
Race 7: COORS LUTE (4) is well bred for the longer distance and barn wins at 29% with sprint to route runners. EQUATOR (8) has experience and should be a major stretch threat for top connections. WICKED BAR (7) won at distance last month to throw into the mix.
Race 8: LAMONTAGNE (10) loves the distance and loves to win with the most wins out of this bunch. JUSTALADY (9) has a new rider in the irons for a change in tactics second start off the long break and back to the grass. MISS GOSSIP (11) just won against allowance company and hopes to close with a rush once again as she moves up in class.
Race 9: The Grade III Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes
UNBRIDLED MO (5) is a perfect 5 for 5 at distance and possesses tactical speed to utilize in a short field. DEAR ELAINE (3) loves this track and hopes to improve off her last effort with front running speed that may never get caught at decent odds. LADY FOG HORN (2) is another that hopes to move forward with a race over the track.
Race 10: MAKEAMERICAGREAT (2) ran well at the maiden level last year and training well for another solid race as a 3yo. KITTEN’S SOLUTION (11) should give stronger performance for his second start in a month and nice recent breeze. INTENT TO STRIKE (8) is well bred with good works and barn wins at 21% with first time starters.
