    Race #5

    #2 Quail Hunt - Minimum odds 5/2

    #6 Forgotten Coast - Minimum odds 5/2

    #15 Honey Dont - Minimum odds 3/1

Quail Hunt got a lot out of his career debut on 9/24, a turf route like this one, rallying from 7th of 12 in the early stages to get to 2nd with an 8th of a mile to go and settling for 3rd at the end. The winner of that race won an important stakes race in Canada in his next start and we may expect this horse to similarly improve a lot in his 2nd career start, particularly as many of his brothers and sisters on the dam's (mother's) side of his pedigree have multiple wins on the grass.

Forgotten Coast didn't run that well in his debut, also a turf route, as he finished 6th, but as many horses do he improved significantly in career start #2 as he was beaten a nose on the wire. He is also related to a number of grass winners and it won't take much improvement, if any, off his most recent effort, for Forgotten Coast to run well enough to graduate from the maiden ranks.

Honey Dont is an also-eligible, which means he (as well as 3 others) are entered but will only run if one of the 12 horses in the main body of the race scratch (withdraw) for any reason. If he does get in he should be considered a win contender as well as he finished 2nd in both career starts to date, the first in a tough field at Saratoga and the 2nd in a tough field at Kentucky Downs. He gets North American leading jockey Jose Ortiz and is sitting on a top effort.
