    Wednesday, October 18th, 2017

Race 1: JUSTANOTHERBIRD (3) has a few solid efforts to be convincing to break his maiden against this group in his second start off the break.  ENCRYPT (2) drops to the lowest level in his career to finally shine with sharp recent works, but tread lightly on this fourteen time maiden.  LEVANTO (6) runs with blinkers off and new rider in the irons.

    Picks 3-2-6

Race 2:  CONTROL SAKE (2) returns to a course that he has competed well at in the past and possibly show more speed today.  BLUE WINGS (5) gets some class relief and should be on or near the lead while reunited with jockey Leparoux.  WABEL (3) exits a late running second and could move forward while running first off the claim.

    Picks 2-5-3

Race 3:  PETROV (3) has the class and now gets rider Ortiz back in the saddle for the right trip sitting a few lengths off the frontrunners.  SHADOW TRACER (4) should be dangerous from gate to wire.  EXCITATIONS (1) should show more speed from the rail and rider Mena aboard to improve off a poor effort in a G3 stakes.

    Picks 3-4-1

Race 4:  KANTASTIC (4) gets a top rider in the saddle and may like the added distance while moving to a firmer surface.  DRINKS ON ME (7) may be the one to beat if high percentage trainer has her ready at first asking today.  CARD CLUB (3) was one of many who could not catch the runaway winner last out at Saratoga and should be tough at this maiden level with a sharp work and brief freshening.

    Picks 4-7-3

Race 5: AUDACIOUS ANGEL (3) exits a solid effort, which she was caught in a speed duel and stopped and the one to beat at this lower claiming level.  STETSON GOLD (7) faces winners first time off a win and moderate 3f drill to keep her fit for a sharp sprinter barn.  WHITE GOLD (1) hopes to break away alertly for a move forward today.

    Picks 3-7-1

Race 6:  MISSISSIPPI (7) has flashy works and a sharp rider to be a major player on debut plus connections purchased her for $700k at the 2yo in training sales.  SIR SAHIB (2) exits a key race and should like the longer distance, but hopefully can handle the rail today.  BOW READY (9) keeps improving in each start to consider a contender at least underneath.

    Picks 7-2-9

Race 7:  LIGHT UP OUR WORLD (1) appears to be the main danger with sharp recent form and good speed figures on the turf for a 24% turf outfit.  SENSITIVE (9) should like today’s distance after finishing runner-up behind RES IPSA who came back and won an allowance race at Keeneland.  FIZZY FRIDAY (10) has fast works to be ready off a brief break and she has performed well in competitive turf races over the summer.

    Picks 1-9-10

Race 8: BELVIN (9) tries hard every time to be a contender and should handle the move back to the dirt.  ACADEMY BAY (5) leads into the race off a near victory, which he loves to win and may do so with jockey Lanerie in the irons.  CANDY MY BOY (1) drops to the bottom after facing elite 3yos in the past so tread lightly.

    Picks 9-5-1
