    Friday / October 13

    Race 1

Taking a shot with Button Mushroom (5) here on the drop from straight maiden company.  This one will be a good price so play her in exacta boxes with the favorites--The Weef and Safari Heart.  Exacta boxes 5-2, 5-4

    Race 2

Nite of the Hunter (6) should be fitter in the second start off the layoff and the move to a new barn may do the trick to get this one to the winner's circle.  Play her in a four-horse exacta box with Favorite Coach, Leroi's Thrill and stablemate Twirling Cinnamon.  Exacta box 6-7-1-2

    Race 3

Fault Line (4) drops in class and has a series of stellar works on the local surface and he could score at a bit of a price here, or at least finish second and boost the exacta payoff.  Wild Will, Athletic Temper and Ride on Faith are the ones to use with him.  Exacta boxes 4-7, 4-8, 4-5

    Race 4

Dreaming of Jo Jo (6) ran in good company last time, with the runnerup coming back to win here yesterday.  He should improve with that start under his belt.  All Hands on Deck (12) merits a look because of strong connections so I'll play both on top in exactas and add Go for Moonshine, Piantagrane and Super Factor underneath.  Exacta part-wheel 6,12 with 6,12,3,9,7

    Race 5

Dagney's Warrior contested a fast pace in the debut from an outside post and hung around in the stretch run so improvement can be expected with a better post.  Flash n' Dance, Pinot and Trust are the ones to use with the top pick.  Exacta boxes 1-12, 1-2, 1-11

    Race 6

Linda (9) stands out on class here and she's run well on this course, too.  Key her in exactas with Mo Knows and Inveniam Viam.  Exacta boxes 9-7, 9-2

    Race 7

Psychoanalyze (9) has more experience than many of these and Lynch uses one of his go-to riders in red-hot Leparoux so those angles make this one the pick for me.  Promises Fulfilled (5), Dreamers Point (4) and Trapezoid (2) are the ones to use with her.  Exacta boxes 9-5, 9-4, 9-2

    Race 8

Domonette (4) makes the second start off a layoff and I like the cutback in distance off that demanding Kentucky Downs course.  This one could surprise at a price and boost the exacta in a box with one of three horses who likelier to win on paper--Awestruck,  Laney and Abundant Flurry.  Exacta boxes 4-7, 4-9, 4-8

    Race 9

Horses drawn near but not on the rail in full-field turf sprints often do well here at Keeneland (as Jeremy Plonk has often noted at so give Justa Lady (2) a shot here at a price--plus she shows improving form.  I'll put her in an exacta box with Lull (6), Morticia (7), Kasuga (4) and Miss Ella (1).

    Race 10

Not Fake News (11) makes the drop from a tougher class here and for strong local connections.  Key this one over Magnanimous Man (the other most likely winner here), United Patriot and Shakedown.  Exacta boxes 11-7, 11-3, 11-2

Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7):  9,5,4 with 4,7,8,9 with 2,6,7,4,1 with 11 (and 7 if your budget allows)
