    Sunday, October 8th, 2017

Race 1:  YOOOU DAN (3) is back where he belongs and should be tough if he’s ready off the big drop so bet cautiously.  NORTHERN SCREAMER (8) returns to a distance better suited for him, but will be a short price.  TOO COOL (6) may like the return back to the firmer surface.

    Picks 3-8-6

Race 2: STONETACULAR (3) raced at this level two starts back and hopes to make a comeback after a faltering performance in the Indiana Oaks.  TOASTED (1) exits an improved effort to be a big threat turning for home.  BEACH FLOWER (5) exits a career best to move up in class going for three consecutive wins.

    Picks 3-1-5

Race 3:  CONQUEST SURE SHOT (3) won easy at Saratoga this summer and rough start to be beaten finish against much tougher in the last, which was a key race. The 3yo recent work was sharp and may get a contested pace to set up well for him.  HUNKA BURNING LOVE (4) may be too tough to catch if he breaks well at this level.  ALL SHACKED UP (8) must fight off second choice early as he runs first off the claim (15%).

    Picks 3-4-8

Race 4:  LIL MISS BLUE EYES (1) runs for a maiden tag for the first time and decent works to be sharp from the rail with Albarado aboard.  LOVEMELIKEYOUDO (3) exits a close effort on the grass, however, drops in class possibly for the easy maiden win.  ONE DOLLAR (5) should move forward in today’s race with class relief and nice work since last start.

    Picks 1-3-5

Race 5:  MOM’S ON STRIKE (10) has the top speed figures in the field to be a serious threat with strong works and dangerous late kick.  TAMIT (9) faces older horses first time, but has performed good enough on the grass to belong as he runs for the Casse barn.  COCO CHANNEL (2) leads into the race off a huge effort on the grass and one to watch at long odds.

    Picks 10-9-2

Race 6:  ROCKET TIME (2) has won at the distance and last two published works look strong to suggest he’s ready for solid effort at KEE. STORM ADVISORY (4) should be forwardly placed and plenty fit off last race.  RATED R SUPERSTAR (5) runs well fresh and blinkers off for a top barn to be the main danger down the stretch.

    Picks 2-4-5

Race 7:  MIA MISCHIEF (5) may repeat and win at second asking.  RIESLING (12) is well drawn to the outside with a good series of works for a sharp sprinting barn (17%).  LOU’S CHARDONNAY (4) was only beat four lengths to improve second time out with Albarado in the reigns.

    Picks 5-12-4

Race 8:  The Grade III Bourbon

TAP DADDY (3) won surging over a yielding turf course to break his maiden.  Well-bred colt may have the perfect set-up for another solid trip if there’s rain.  CAPTIVATING MOON (9) has two impressive races and nice drills for the Block stable.  ADMIRALTY PIER (13) just missed in a good size field in the G2 Summer Stakes at Woodbine to be a contender in wide open race.

    Picks 3-9-13

Race 9:  The Grade 1 Spinster

BAR OF GOLD (8) leads into the race in top form and impressive record over wet courses to be the main danger with rain.  LOCKDOWN (6) has been rated one of the top 3yo fillies competing against ABELTASMAN and ELATE to be consider a main threat while facing older horses.  ROMANTIC VISION (11) is a graded stakes winner as of last out, however, this lady does her best work at 1 1/16th to watch the board.

    Picks 8-6-11

Race 10:  SHAHROZE (8) runs first time with G. Motion barn (22%) with solid efforts over in Ireland and gets first time Lasix and now a gelding.  ICONIC (6) may succeed this time after a close finish in his latest for the Romans stable.  SPORT (7) also a first time gelding has the most consistent speed figures in the group and dangerous if ready off the long layoff now running as a 4yo.

    Picks 8-6-7
