    FRIDAY, April 7

Race 1:  Waki Patriot (9) comes from the Hancock barn, which does well with two-year olds, and the fact that Corey Lanerie takes this mount adds to the appeal, so we'll take this one to upset the two entrants from the powerful Wesley Ward stable--Fairyland and Kitty Kate Kate.  Exacta boxes 9-10, 9-8

Race 2:  Annoy (3) was claimed out of the last race and I'm guessing that this move was made with this spot in mind.  The second-start-off-the-layoff angle could also produce improvement.  Rhodium and Blonde in the City are others to consider.  Exacta boxes 3-2, 3-1

Race 3:  Clear the Mine (3) has three career wins and two of them have come on the Keeneland surface.  An inside draw is also a big plus in these one-mile races and this one got a 96 Beyer figure at this trip last fall on this track.  Egyptian is intriguing, coming from the Walsh, which is having a good year, and the class drop for Money Flows makes that one a contender.  Exacta boxes 3-4, 3-1

Race 4:  Wissam (5) drops from the straight maiden ranks into maiden claiming company and Pletcher wins at a 32 percent clip with his second-time starters.  No standout in here so the play would be a four-horse exacta box, including Summer O Fiftyfour, Starinthemarking and Roustabout.  Exacta box of 5-3-2-1

Race 5:  I'm Extraordinary (5) gets the slight nod off steady improvement for a new trainer.  This race has the feel of an upset, as the favorites have significant flaws.  Ginger Stone (1) is another to like here, off an affinity for Keeneland.  Play those two in an exacta box with Lovethislife and Delusional KK.  Exacta box of 5-1-9-7

Race 6:  Lipstick City (10) won her debut last fall and being out of an AP Indy mare, she should relish the stretchout to nine furlongs here--and this might be a chance to get 7-2 or better on a Chad Brown trainee.  Joust (2) has the class edge and is the one to beat here, so I think one of those two wins and I'll give the slight edge to the former.  Folk Magic, Talaaqy and Danceland are others to consider.  Exacta part-wheel 10-2 with 10-2-8-9-4

Race 7:  Ettalusive (9) comes off the Gulfstream circuit and that's generally the equivalent of playing a tougher schedule.  The turnback from a one-mile race is also a plus.  Key her in exactas with Pauline Revere, Noelle's Mischief, True Boots and Tiger Eyes (in that order).  Exacta boxes 9-7, 9-8, 9-11, 9-6

Race 8:  Lookin for a Kiss (8) is more accomplished at this point than Mutaraamy, so that one gets the edge because of that experience.  And Lookin for a Kiss has hooked some good company down south.  Exacta boxes 8-3, 8-2

Race 9:  Ticonderoga (5) got an 87 Beyer in his three-year old debut and that's better than any figure he posted last year.  Trainer Chad Brown says this colt has matured quite a bit, so Ticonderoga might well improve on that number in the Palm Beach Stakes.  With one start under his belt, this one can upset Oscar Performance, who is making his sophomore debut.  Cowboy Culture bears watching, too--that last race looks too bad to be a true reflection of his ability.  If you want to spread in the Pick 4, consider also adding Sonic Boom and Profiteer.  Exacta boxes 5-4, 5-8, 5-6, 5-1

Race 10:  Kirby's Penny (11) gets the nod for combo of trainer Ward and jockey Jose Ortiz but keep an eye on Heartbreak Hotel on the class drop and Stella Nova off a seven-length debut win.  Exacta box of 11-3-8

    Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7):  9,7,8,11 with 8,3 with 5,4,8 with 11,3,8
