    Sunday / October 8

    Race 1

Will Gracie Shine (7) is in top form for a new trainer and her early speed is a big asset in this spot.  Exacta boxes 7-8, 7-5

    Race 2

Lady Soul (7) shows improving form and draws one of the top riders on this circuit.  I give this one a slight edge over Julerette (2).  Exacta boxes 7-2, 7-1, 7-3

    Race 3

Conquest Sure Shot (3) turns back from a one-mile race and that fitness advantage could prove to be a big asset here.  And the previous effort for this one was especially sharp.  Two horses who have won here before--Forty Acres and Enchantera--figure to be dangerous here.  Exacta boxes 3-1, 3-5, 3-6

    Race 4

No standout in this spot so it's hard to take a strong stand on anyone.  I'll give the nod to Lovemelikeyoudo (3) on the class drop, plus a pedigree that suggests a possible affinity for the dirt course.  Lil Miss Blue Eyes, Ever Specila and Union Silk all merit consideration.  Exacta box 3-1-6-4

    Race 5

Tamit (9) has hooked tough fields in the last two races so she may find this spot a little softer.  She also won here last fall.  Don’t sleep on Peaceful Passage (5) for trainer Shug McGaughey, as the second-time US start and move to turf could prove to be the tonic to produce a top effort.  Exacta boxes 9-10, 9-12, 9-1, 9-5

    Race 6

Grand Candy (1) figures to be formidable for the Ramsey/Maker team in a race that lacks a clear standout.  Play that one in an exacta box that also includes Rocket Time, Clear the Mine and Rated R Superstar.  Exacta box 1-2-7-5

    Race 7

Going for a price play here in Fonda Romana (3) off a solid dirt debut and picking up Joe Bravo in the saddle, but Mis Mischief (5) is definitely the one to beat at a likely short price.  Key both on top in exactas.  Exacta part-wheel 3,5 with 3,5,1,4,6

    Race 8

in the grade 3 Bourbon Stakes, I'm going with Captivating Moon (9).  He was impressive in his turf debut, drawing off to win by two, and I like that Valdivia stays in the saddle.  This one was also entered on Saturday's card so if he scratches, Tap Daddy (3) would be my top pick.  Flameaway (12) hasn't been on turf yet but he's bred to love it so this one is dangerous, too.   Exacta boxes 9-3, 9-8, 9-13, 9-12, 9-11

    Race 9

in the grade 1 Juddmonte Spinster, Lockdown (6) looks tough.  Trainer Bill Mott brings her back on two weeks rest--not a typical move, so I take that as a sign of confidence.  Stablemate Elate blew away her elders last week in NY and I think Lockdown can do the same here.  Tiger Moth, Blue Prize, Romantic Vision and Mo d'Amour all come out of the same race and it's hard to separate them.  Keep an eye on Bar of Gold (8) if the track is sloppy, as she loves it.  Exacta boxes 6-5, 6-10, 6-11, 6-8, 6-13

    Race 10

Iconic (6) comes off a good run at 12 furlongs on the demanding Kentucky Downs course and we've seen horses coming off that track do well this weekend. so he's my top pick.  Use him with Reprove, Markitoff, Sport and Shahroze in an exacta box.  Exacta box 6-4-5-7-8

    Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7):  3,5,1 with 9,3,8,13,12,11 with 6 with 6,4,5,7,8
