st Race: STEEL CUT (#5) has a decided class advantage over this bunch and should win at short odds. CASH IN MY POCKET (#7) comes off a win over this track and is capable of another solid effort. FIDDLELINA (#6) is a contender.
nd Race: SUCCESSFUL RUNNER (#4) is a 7-year-old with just one win in nine career starts but he has never run a bad race and looks like another short-priced favorite who figures to win. MUDDBONE ROAD (#2) has a start over the track on opening day and looks second best. PAPA BRAVO (#1) rates a chance.
rd Race: SQUEEZE (#2) is a first-timer from the barn of Christophe Clement, who has sold numbers with his debuting runners. This one has been training steadily in Florida and should be ready to run with Julien Leparoux named to ride. ASSEMBLY (#4) was third in her debut at Gulfstream for trainer Bill Mott. She should like today's added distance and will be tough to beat. SONIC CYSTER (#11) closed strongly in her debut in September and is training well for her return.
th Race: BOBBY V. (#3) has been a consistent performer at or around this claiming level and appears to be in a good spot to pick up the win in here. JAZ N TAP (#1) faded after showing some speed here on opening day and is capable of better this afternoon. LOVE YOUR HONOR (#5) fits with these.
th Race: TRY YOUR LUCK (#12) ran poorly on the dirt last out and will appreciate the move back to grass today. She rates the slight edge with Corey Lanerie back aboard for trainer Mike Maker. TIZTHESOUND (#3) showed big improvement in when moved to the turf for her second career start. She has the speed to be on or near the lead and is the one to catch. PRIVATE CLIENT (#2) is training sharply for Tom Proctor and could add value to the gimmicks.
th Race: FORECAST (#5) was second behind heavily favored Limitless in her debut at Fair Grounds. She looks like a solid bet to get her maiden win for trainer Steve Asmussen with Ricardo Santana picking up the mount. ULTRA BRAT (#3) ran poorly after breaking slowly in her debut in November but is training sharply for her return. Trainer Graham Motion is having a good meet and should have this one ready to fire. GATEWAY TO GOLD (#6) exits a key race at Fair Grounds and is a contender.
th Race: SHADOW ROCK (#2) has been running well on the Gulfstream lawn and should get a good trip from just off of the early leaders. Corey Lanerie picks up the mount for trainer Scooter Dickey, who is having a good meet with a limited number of starters. WHISKEY BRAVO (#5) is riding a three-race win streak and is definitely the one to beat. SYLVEN PARK (#3) can run well at nice odds.
th Race: LADY SOUL (#2) exits a key race at Gulfstream won by Go Maggie Go, who came right back to take the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2). She should move forward and gets the nod with John Velazquez back aboard for trainer Todd Pletcher. MA CAN DO IT (#7) was third in the Darley Alcibiades (G1) and fifth in the 14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) last year. Throw out her race at Oaklawn and expect a much better effort today. HANG ON ANNIE (#5) exits a good race at Turfway and rates a chance.
th Race – Dixiana Elkhorn (G2): DA BIG HOSS (#1) has proven to be another excellent claim by trainer Mike Maker, winning three stakes races since being haltered for $50,000 in June. He didn't fire last out but should like the softer turf course today. Give him the edge. KAIGUN (#7) is sharp right now. He beat the top pick at Gulfstream on the firm Gulfstream turf but also runs on softer ground. He will be hard to beat. UP WITH THE BIRDS (#2) has been off since November but has to be respected.
th Race: BRILLILANT BELLE (#1) ran poorly when breaking from the 11 post at Oaklawn but trainer Brad Cox drops him in class and he appears to be in a good spot to win this one. BETTYNG ON LUCY (#2) is a 4-year-old taking on mostly younger runners and can add value to the gimmicks. COURT THE STORM (#6) has a race over the track and is a contender.
