    THURSDAY / April 24

Race 1:  (8) Spanish Pipedream is the higher price of the two Wesley Ward trained-horses so I'll take a shot there.  Exacta boxes 8-2, 8-3, 8-9

Race 2:  (7) Regulus has three wins on synthetic and the second-off-a-layoff has been a good angle for this trainer.  Exacta boxes 7-5, 7-3, 7-4

Race 3:  (2) Olympic Avenue drops in class and trainer McPeek hits at 20 percent with second-off-layoff types.  Also, this horse got caught up in a hot pace last time and find the pace scenario more favorable in this spot.  Exacta boxes 2-8, 2-7, 2-3

Race 4:  (10) Blarp had a bad post in his last start and I like that Rosario keeps the mount.  Also, the field he faced last time may have been better than this one.  Exacta boxes 10-9, 10-5, 10-1

Race 5:  (10) Breaking Ball picks up Leparoux in the saddle and the trainer hits at a 19 percent rate with newcomers to the barn.  This one also is working well and likes synthetic surfaces.  Exacta boxes 10-9, 10-8, 10-3

Race 6:  (1) Can'thelpbelieving and (3) Scoria represent a tossup for me.  I'll go with the former for the win pick, since the trainer is having a good meet and this one faced a tougher bunch last time.  I'll play both on tops in exactas: 1 & 3 with 1,3 5,8

Race 7:  (9) Bellarmine loves Keeneland's polytrack and was the easiest kind of winner last time, so the trainer sees an opportunity to grab another check before the meet ends.  (10) Patrioticandproud is dangerous at a price here, too.  Exacta boxes 9-10, 9-5, 9-2

Race 8:  (10) Caroline Thomas showed an affinity for this turf course last fall and she had a troubled trip in her last race, so her price might float up given that race was better than it looks.  Also, Mott's barn has been a little cold at this meet so I'm taking a shot that Romantica might be short off the layoff but obviously, she's the one to beat.  Exacta boxes 10-11, 10-9, 10-6, 10-2, 10-8

Race 9:  (9) Format V comes from the Amoss barn and those horses have been firing at this meet.  Also, this one has four wins on synthetics.  Exacta boxes 9-12, 9-8, 9-6

    Late Pick 4 part-wheel:  1,3 with 9,10 with 10, 9, 11, 2, 8, 6 with 9, 12, 8
