Race 1: SILVER LINING JOHN (9) exits a near miss performance on the dirt, but has won over the Turfway Park’s poly. The 4yo will be forwardly placed from the gate in a rather paceless race. LOOKIN MIGHTY FAST (1) needed his last race off the layoff. The veteran runner has done well against tougher horses. TOO WILD FOR WORDS (8) loves to run at Keeneland and returns with good works in the last thirty days.
Race 2: SKYDECK (10) raced second in a key race two starts back and the CURLIN filly will be plenty fit off her last two performances. IMPEACHED (12) may need a race, but takes on a soft field of maidens for her debut performance. JUSTICE JUDY (9) is a longtime maiden who has finished in the exotics 10/15 starts. She returns fresh and trainer removes the blinkers.
Race 3: TRIPLE CHARM (4) heads into the race off a fourth place effort against graded stakes company. Mare hopes for a clean trip as she shortens up in distance. SKY GIRL (3) has been training well as she makes her first start of the year. She has tactical speed along with some class to be a contender. UNHEDGED (5) will be tough with early speed.
Race 4: BROODMOR DE LIGHT (2) won her last start against easier over an off track, but sharp closer has done well against tougher and fan of the rider switch. EMMY WHO (8) is another former winner over the Keeneland’s poly that returns fresh and can win at this level. KATY LIED (4) returns off a brief freshening and drops in class. She has one win and one second over the local surface.
Race 5: ZAMQUICK (5) has faced some fast horses on the turf in her lightly raced career and gets a short rest to be ready first time synthetic. TOWN TOUR (3) should improve second start off the break. BELLA KATERI (8) has powerful works to be something special first time out for a 15% first time starter stable.
Race 6: GRIP HANDS (4) is sharp over the Polytrack and returns off a brief break with good works. Jockey Albarado is back aboard. CONSPIRACY (10) has been sharp on the dirt, but needs to show more over the softer footing. He has good form going long and barn is sharp. DREAMS CUT SHORT (7) could be threat from way off the pace. The deep closer should like the return to the poly and usually performs best off break.
Race 7: PREVIOUS (12) has dangerous outside speed from a top notch barn. She broke her maiden impressively at second asking. ULTIMATE SHOPPER (7) is another with early pace that has bullet works to be ready. SIMILU (2) will be a threat from off the pace if ready off an eleven month layoff. Barn wins at 17% with layoff runners.
Race 8: DYNAMIC SKY (7) was on the “Derby” trail last year, but ended up performing well against Ontario sired horses including a third in the Queens Plate. He should be tough if sharp off the long break. PRINCEDARGENT (6) should be on or near the lead with blinkers on and has good form at the distance seen across the pond. BULL DOZER (3) has done well at this level and should be stalking from the inside.
Race 9: SIMON EYES (9) seems to have better form over the soft footing. Barn/ jockey off to a good start this week and gelding takes on lesser competition. DRAMA COUCH (5) drops in class, which appears to be the right move by a capable trainer. SNEAKY BLOWOUT (2) was a longtime maiden that just broke his maiden on the dirt, but leads into the race in sharp form in a light field.
