    THURSDAY / October 9

Race 1:  Bagpipes (1) drops in class and the speed to control this race.  Exacta boxes:  1-3, 1-6

Race 2:  Little Face (5) is the pick because of the speed to control the pace.   Exacta box 5-4

Race 3:  Artemusmailcarrier (1) drops out of the tough maiden special weight ranks at Saratoga into a maiden claimer, so this one should have a class edge.  Exacta boxes:  1-4, 1-2, 1-5

Race 4:  Fazzle Dazzle (2) goes for a trainer who wins at 18 percent with first-time starters in races at a mile or longer.  The connections are local so guessing this one will be primed for its best shot.  Exacta boxes:  2-8, 2-10, 2-1

Race 5:  Peanutsnpopcorn (6) comes out of the same race as the favorite.  They didn't finish far apart and this one offers a much better price.  Exacta boxes:  6-7, 6-8, 6-9

Race 6:  Mrs Asher (2) has good speed and Leparoux's mount have been well chosen thus far at the meet.  Exacta boxes:  2-1, 2-4

Race 7:  Coalport (7) likes the Keeneland turf and comes off a 98 Beyer last time out.  Exacta boxes 7-1,7-4, 7-6

Race 8:  Quiet Ruler (8) has had two strong runs off the layoff and I like the fact that Rosario keeps the mount.  Exacta boxes 8-5, 8-3, 8-6

Race 9:  Zip Runner (3) improved in the first start on turf and shows a sharp work in preparation for this outing.  Eskenformoney (2) is the one to beat but the price figures to be short.  Exacta boxes 3-2, 3-9, 3-11

Late Pick 4 (starts in race 6):  ALL with 7 with 8,5,3,6 with 3,2
