st Race: LIONESS LAHR (#11) is the only runner in here with decent form on the all-weather surface. Give her the edge. MORE THAN KRAZY (#8) drops in class and should be the one to beat. SHOES FOR JLO (#6) is a contender.
nd Race: JOE CAN GALLOP (#3) scored the upset win to break his maiden at Saratoga and came right back to run well against a tough allowance field. He should continue to move forward and has the tactical speed to be in contention throughout. GOOD TICKLED (#6) closed well in his last two races against lesser competition and has run well on the Keeneland Polytrack. SQUADRON A (#4) broke his maiden in his first race back after a three-month break and can’t be overlooked.
rd Race: QUEENIE’S SONG (#2) is a high-priced Keeneland sales grad who broke her maiden in her debut at Presque Isle Downs. She shouldn’t mind the move to the turf and rates the edge in a well-matched allowance race. LA MEJOR FIESTA (#1) threw in a clunker at Kentucky Downs but might not have cared for that track. Look for a much better performance today. TOO COOL (#5) broke her maiden for a tag but looks like a contender.
th Race: ALL INCLUSIVE (#10) is a lightly raced runner from the barn of Graham Motion. Give him the slight edge as he drops in class and gets blinkers for the first time. RAKETE (#1) and HEZRO (#6) are both trained by Mike Maker but run uncoupled. Both looks dangerous in this one.
th Race: TOO WILD FOR WORDS (#1) moves up in class after a big win last out. He is a bit suspect at 7 furlongs but figures to make the lead from the inside post and will be tough to catch this afternoon. GUNG HO (#6) hasn’t won a race in two years but is dropped in class by Maker and is the one to beat at this level. FLEET BEAT (#3) rates a chance.
th Race: MYGALSAL (#8) was second to Poker Player, who came back to win the Bourbon (G3) here on Sunday. He figures to move forward off that effort and looks like a winner with Leandro Goncalves back aboard for trainer Garry Simms. TROPIC OF ARTIE (#12) set the pace before tiring last out at Woodbine and is the one to catch. KWACHA (#2) is a solid contender in a tough maiden race.
th Race: GAL ABOUT TOWN (#3) hasn’t been out since January but is working well for new trainer Charlie LoPresti. She is the definite class in this one and is the only runner with a win over the Keeneland Polytrack. Give her the edge. BIG BROWN BROOKSKI (#6) hasn’t shown much in her last two but John Velazquez is named to ride and she figures to be a contender. BROWN EYES BLUE (#7) has the speed to be in front and is dangerous.
th Race – JPMorgan Chase Jessamine (G3): ZINZAY (#6) as a $700,000 purchase in March and won at first asking at Saratoga, beating a 4-5 favorite in that one. She has trained well since coming to Kentucky and gets the edge with Joe Rocco back aboard for trainer Rusty Arnold. RICHIES PARTY GIRL (#9) is the only two-time winner in the field and her speed makes her dangerous. KITTEN KABOODLE (#3) is a solid contender.
th Race: COOL C NOTE (#1) figures to get a good trip from the inside post and gets blinkers for the first time today. Give him the edge in this bottom claimer. SMARTEN DESTINY (#6) is a consistent runner who can’t be left out of the gimmicks. NIEDERZEL (#10) has run well over this track in the past.
