Kim Nelson has grown up with horses in Kentucky. She began her career with Thoroughbreds at North Ridge Farm in Lexington, KY where she worked with foaling mares and yearlings. She moved on from there to work for Carl Nafzger as an assistant trainer and exercise rider. After the birth of her daughter she changed careers to handicapping for the Daily Racing Form. Once the Daily Racing Form closed its handicapping department in Lexington, Kim was very fortunate to land a position with Marylou Whitney Stables. She is now the assistant racing and breeding manager for Mrs. Whitney.
1A Jump for Kitten is taking a significant drop in class. He hasn’t hit the board in 4 starts this year but this looks like the spot for him to find the winner’s circle. #5 Grey Oak is making his 3rd start off the layoff. He didn’t show much last out but he is dropping for half this time and he does have a win at Keeneland. #2 Strong Humor has the early turn of foot and do note he too has a win over this course.

#6 Streethomealabama outrun his odds last time out finishing 3rd with a good bunch of horses at Saratoga. He gets Lasix for the first time here and is the one to beat. #5 Prepared has a race over the synthetic surface. The son of Giant’s Causeway should improve with the added distance. #3 Crack Your Whip ran a good 2nd last time and deserves a look.

#6 Greyfell can boast a big Beyer number in his last start. He ran 2nd in that but do note that the winner of that race is entered in the Grade 1 Breeders Futurity which is the 8th race on the card today. #3 Coastline turned in a couple of sharp works before his debut. Expect him to improve significantly here. #4 Ghost to Ghost has a sharp work since his debut effort. He should land a share.

#7 Ire has been off since Feb. but barn is very capable with horses off the bench. The filly is 2 for 3 at Keeneland and has only missed one check over synthetic surfaces in 6 starts. #2 Queen’s Award exits a couple of Graded Stakes events and should find this company to her liking. #4 Eddington’s Note is a very consistent sort and comes over fresh. #10 Chortle has 4 wins to her credit this year and exits a 2nd place finish with similar.

The Grade 3 Woodford draws a field of 10 very classy sprinters. #3 Great Mills finished 2nd in this race last year. Lightly raced this year with only 2 starts he should be fresh and could take this field gate to wire. #6 Stormofthecentury posted a triple digit Beyer figure in his last race. This gelding has been very sharp this year and poses a threat here. #7 Ancil has been really good his last 2 races and could land a share if he stays in form.

Start of the All Stakes Pick 4
Single Groupie Doll in race 6. She is the 3-5 favorite, comes off an impressive win and looks like she can repeat here.
Going 4 deep in this one. #1 Say is making her first start in the U.S. for trainer Aidan O’Brien. #2 Hungry Island is making her 3rd start off the layoff and exits a strong effort in a Grade 3 at Belmont, #4 Daisy Devine just missed in this race last year. #6 Dayatthespa is 2 for 2 at Keeneland both Graded Stakes
Going 4 deep in this one also. #9 Conquest Titan was very impressive in his win at Woodbine last out. The Birdstone colt looks to have a high cruising speed and is bred for distance. #13 Smarty’s Echo posted a strong Beyer number breaking his maiden and has since turned in a very sharp work. #7 General Jack exits an easy win in a $100k and also has a solid work preparing for this one. #14 Tiznowforamerica broke his maiden in gate to wire fashion last out at Saratoga.
