SATURDAY, October 29
Race 1: (4) Blue Ridge Girl takes a big class drop and this move is a 21 strike rate for the trainer and that's just one of several positive angles on this horse for this trainer. Exacta boxes 4-6, 4-3, 4-2
Race 2: (3) Ore Pass is a 9-time winner and comes off a win, so he's in top for and he makes the third start off a layoff so this could be his best effort. Exacta boxes 3-1, 3-7, 3-6
Race 3: (4) Yearning ran improved races in the last two outings and was wide last time out. The addition of Leparoux in the saddle is also a plus. Exacta boxes 4-8, 4-7, 4-3
Race 4: (6) Super Wonderful gets Leparoux in the saddle for a trainer who is starting his first horse at the meet and this one is dropping in class, too. Pay attention to (7) Slick Red Oil, too, as trainer Chris Hartman got a win on Thursday. Exacta boxes 6-8, 6-7, 6-4
Race 5: (2) Dear Elaine makes the second start off a layoff and she won impressively here in the spring. I think she can turn the tables on (3) Thrilled with that start under her belt. Exacta boxes 2-3, 2-1, 2-5
Race 6: (12) Giant Payday has already won but got disqualified. Also, the Wilkes barn has been hot at this meet. Exacta boxes 12-11, 12-10, 12-8, 12-4
Race 7: (1) My Four Funs gets the nod in a race that lacks a standout, This one took some money in the debut so that is intriguing. Exacta box of 1-3-4-6
Race 8: (8) Dee Dee Bertie is working great and has the speed to control this race. Also, the trainer does well with horses coming off a layoff. Exacta boxes 8-1, 8-5, 8-7, 8-3
Race 9: in the grade 2 Hagyard Fayette, (3) Kasaqui can upset (2) Noble Bird with a late run. I like the class drop for Kasaqui and he's training like the move to the Keeneland dirt will be no problem--if true, I think he's the better horse right now. Exacta box 3-2
Race 10: (4) Homespun Hero shows an impressive win over this track and he's a 3-time winner in a field of horses that are one-time winners. (9) Unbridled Outlaw suffered a tough beat earlier at the meet and a repeat makes him a strong contender, too. Exacta boxes 4-9, 4-12, 4-6, 4-7, 4-13
Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7): 1,3,4,6 with 8,1,5, 7 with 3,2 with 4,9
