    Saturday / October 21

    Race 1

Nonikas Thunder (8) takes a class drop and the pedigree says she'll handle the dirt just fine.  You'll get a little better price on this class-dropper than on Lady Warrior.  Mizz Fabulous is dangerous for a trainer who does well with debuting maiden-claimers and add Silver Turns Gold, too.  Exacta box 8-4-7-1

    Race 2

Tribal Transit (5) makes the second start for the Cox barn so improvement would not be a surprise and Ortiz in the saddle is noteworthy.  Key this one with Honor's Parade, Unfading Beauty and Pampered Vow.  Exacta boxes 5-8, 5-7, 5-9

    Race 3

Clear the Mine (3) is one I like a lot.  He loves this track, has a good race over it earlier this meet, makes the second start off the layoff and picks up Ortiz in the saddle.  At 8-1 on the morning line, that's too good to pass up.  Key this one with Seeking the Soul (who may be comprimised by the short stretch), Conquest Windy City and Society Beau.  Exacta boxes 3-5, 3-7, 3-1

    Race 4

Fleet Bertie (6) ran an improved race last time and I like that Santana stays with this one.  Kirby's Penny is the one to beat but could be vulnerable on the class rise and China Grove likes this track.  Exacta box 6-7-5

    Race 5

Starving Artist (6) comes out of the same good race as Coach Rocks but the former will be a better price.  She was a pricey purchase out of a two-year old sale and I like that angle in the two-year old races this time of year.  Queen's Fate could be included in an exacta box of the only three horses who come out of Kentucky Downs races.  I'll add Track Rose, though, too.  Exacta box 6-10-1-11

    Race 6

Futile (5) makes his second start for the Maker barn and Ortiz in the saddle is a plus.  Also, Maker is 19 percent on the turf-to-dirt angle.  Key this one with Mineyerownmalone, Zander Zone, Woodmans Luck and True West..  Exacta boxes 5-9, 5-11, 5-4, 5-2

    Race 7

No standout here so I'll go for a price with Palmilla Moon (10).  She may well improve in the second start for Wilkes and she took a little money in her debut.  Add Elusive Truth, America's Tale and Good Creation to an exacta box.  Hazana is worth considering in multi-race wagers, too.  Exacta box 10-7-9-8

    Race 8

Excessive Spending (4) has improved on the move to grass, he's drawn well and this is a class drop for him.  Key him in exacta boxes with Cherry Lodge, Spellker, India Manuana and Touch of Bling.  Exacta boxes 4-2, 4-3, 4-6, 4-11

    Race 9

in the grade 2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes, I like the California trio of Classy Tune (9), Chalon (8) and Miss Sunset (11).  I'll take the first one, based on that 95 Beyer two starts back.  She may have come back too quickly and I like the pattern of works coming into this spot. Chalon's start over the track here is a big plus for her.  Exacta box 9-8-11

    Race 10

Time to Flirt (7) gets the call for the Brad Cox barn.  He hits at a 23 percent clip off these short layoffs and this one caught a good field in her race at Saratoga on August 19.  Key her in exactas with Freedom, Hallie Belle and Jaunt.  Exacta boxes 7-4, 7-5, 7-9

    Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7):  10, 9,7,8 with 4,2,3 with 9,8,11 with 7,4,5,9
