FRIDAY / April 25
Race 1: (1A) Storm Off ran well in the debut opening weekend despite some trouble and has a bullet work since. The lower-profile connections will guarantee value in this spot. Exacta boxes 1-8, 1-6, 1-4
Race 2: (4) Favorite Coach has a good race over the track for connections that often win a race at two at the Keeneland meets, so they're due. I also like that Joe Rocco returns in the saddle. Either half of the McPeek-trained entry should be live here. Exacta boxes 4-1, 4-3
Race 3: (7) Dissension goes for a trainer who does well off the claim and this horse was impressive in the win earlier at this meet (9) Hit Girl is another price play that is worth look, because of a liking for this track. Exacta box of 7-9-3-1
Race 4: (4) Enclosure can win this at a nice price because of this one's love for the Keeneland poly. The trainer hits at 18 percent clip with second-off-layoff types and I like that Leparoux takes the ride. Exacta boxes 4-5, 4-2, 4-11
Race 5: (3) Mister Lucky Cat has run some of his best numbers after moving into turf sprints. The entry (1) Stormy Rocit and (1A) Joe Can Gallop are both strong contenders. Exacta box of 3-1-8-4
Race 6: (10) Boom Boom Vroom ran his best race yet on opening weekend and sholujld improve in the second start off a layoff. Exacta boxes of 10-9, 10-1, 10-2
Race 7: (8) Fashion Fund has a steady stream of works for a trainer more than capable of having one ready off a layoff. It's also noteworthy that Johnny V takes the mount. Exacta boxes 8-5, 8-6, 8-1
Race 8: (10) Tap Twenty One comes off a lifetime best performance when he just missed in his first start of the meet. He loves this track and the seven-furlong distance. Exacta boxes 10-5, 10-4, 10-1
Race 9: (12) Eagle Poise is the shaky pick in a wide open edition of the Elkhorn. This guy is a marathon specialist and Solis, who knows him well, comes in for the ride. Motion is more than capable of having this one ready off works and I look for him to be finishing strong and given the morning line, that's too good to pass up. (8) Tricky Hat ran big here earlier in the meet and I think he's the one to beat. Both (2) Optimizer and (5) Temeraine are strong contenders but I'll keep off the 12. I'll also throw (14) War Dancer in the pick 4 ticket. Exacta boxes 12-8, 12-2, 12-9, 12-5
Race 10: (10) Poppy's Dream might just be the one that could clinch a trainer title for McPeek and I like the turnback from a nine-furlong race angle. Exacta boxes 10-6, 10-5, 10-1
Late Pick 4 part-wheel: 8,5,6,1 with 10,4,5 with 12,8,5,2 with 10,6
