FRIDAY, April 4
Race 1: (7) Straight Town is 2/3 at Keeneland and is working well for the meet's opening race. Exacta boxes 7-1, 7-2
Race 2: (6) Follow the Kitten drops in class for trainer Mike Stidham, whose horses usually run well at Keeneland meets. Exacta boxes: 6-5, 6-3
Race 3: (3) Get in Line comes off an excellent effort for the Ramsey-Maker team and looks strong here. Exacta boxes 3-1, 3-4
Race 4: (1) Rapscallion should improve in the second-off-a-layoff for trainer Motion and you'll probably get good value in a fairly wide-open affair. Exacta boxes: 1-3, 1-5, 1-7
Race 5: (6) Appreciating. Trainer Mark Casse and jockey Julien Leparoux could be a potent combo at this meet and this one shows sharp works for this start. Exacta boxes: 6-5, 6-1
Race 6: either (1) Coastal Moon or (6) Watery Moon are dangerous first-time starters. I'll go with the former because of the Casse/Leparoux angle. Exacta key 1 and 6 over 1,6,5,7
Race 7: (10) Primed for Passion is a dangerous price play here. When trainer Sheppard uses Rosie to ride his horses, they often fire their best shot here. Exacta boxes: 10-8, 10-7
Race 8: (3) Bella Castini goes third-off-the-layoff for Clement and I also like the turnback angle from longer races. Exacta boxes: 3-2, 3-1
Race 9: (3) Woodfield Springs is my longshot special today in the grade 3 Transylvania Stakes. He had a breakout performance last time but makes a big move up in class. Trainer Rusty Arnold is showing confidence, though, and I'm also told they were considering running this colt in the Toyota Bluegrass next week. Exacta boxes: 3-8, 3-10, 3-9, 3-1
Race 10: (5) Aunt Ruby's Kitten looks like a standout for Ramsey/Pletcher combo, given that the horse is dropping into a much easier spot. Exacta boxes: 5-10, 5-6, 5-2
Late Pick 4 part-wheel: 10,8.7 with 3,2,1 with 3,8,10,9,1 with 5
