THURSDAY / April 10
Race 1: (7) Full is 1-for-1 here and the trainer wins at a 43 percent clip off this kind of layoff and a 35 percent clip with newcomers to his barn. Exacta boxes 7-4, 7-1, 7-8
Race 2: (10) Skydeck drops in class for top connections and also shows two good works since his last race. Exacta boxes 10-8, 10-6, 10-3
Race 3: (2) Sky Girl gets the call in a short field. Trainer Bill Mott excels with layoff types and this one shows an outstanding work pattern, plus shows a good race over this track. Exacta boxes 2-1, 2-4
Race 4: (4) Katy Lied also shows a good performance on this track plus has 10 wins lifetime. In a wide open race, those qualities are strong plus factors. Exacta boxes 4-2, 4-8
Race 5: (2) Knotty Pine goes postward for the potent combo of trainer Jonathan Sheppard and jockey Rosie Napravnik and this one shows a very sharp work in preparation for this engagement. Worth a look at a bit of a price. Exacta boxes 2-3, 2-4, 2-5
Race 6: (8) Derby Kitten gets the nod in another wide-open affair. He drops in class and he has also run well here. The latter quality applies to Dreams Cut Short and that one is dangerous at a price. Chalice, Exploring and Grip Hands are others to include in the pick 4. Exacta box of 8-6-7-9.
Race 7: (9) Season Warrior ran an improved race in his first start for trainer Mark Casse and then got cooked in a fast pace the last time out. I think he could rebound at a big price. Previous and Olympic Avenue are the ones to beat. Exacta boxes 9-12, 9-10, 9-3
Race 8: (7) Dynamic Sky ran very well here as a two-year old and trainer Casse is more than capable of getting one ready off a long layoff, which is the biggest question mark for this horse. Exacta boxes 7-3, 7-8, 7-9
Race 9: (3) Douro goes for a trainer who has a good record at Keeneland in these types of races and Hernandez is one of his go-to riders. Those factors make him attractive at a big price. Sneaky Blowout and Drama Couch are strong contenders, too, and Simon Eyes is worth including in horizontal wagers off a strong previous race here.
Late Pick 4: 8,7,6,9,4 with 9,12,10 with 7 with 3,5,2,9
