Kim Nelson has grown up with horses in Kentucky. She began her career with Thoroughbreds at North Ridge Farm in Lexington, KY where she worked with foaling mares and yearlings. She moved on from there to work for Carl Nafzger as an assistant trainer and exercise rider. After the birth of her daughter she changed careers to handicapping for the Daily Racing Form. Once the Daily Racing Form closed its handicapping department in Lexington, Kim was very fortunate to land a position with Marylou Whitney Stables. She is now the assistant racing and breeding manager for Mrs. Whitney.

Wesley Ward’s Tomei is 7-5 in the morning line. Mr. Ward’s barn has been very strong with 2 year olds as usual. Tough to bet against him. #7 Tak’er Up has been working well over the Keeneland course and has Leparoux in the irons. #3 Sky America turned in a sharp work out of the gates here on April 4th. The 1 post is tough but still could land a share.
#3 Sky America, #1 Tomei, #7 Tak’er UP, #2 Ready to Lead,#6 Dream S’more
#8 Fast Bobbi J is a consistent sort that seems to handle any surface. She finished a very respectable 3rd with allowance company at Keeneland last fall. #9 Keri Keri making her first start since the claim by the Maker barn. Barn wins at 27% first off the claim. #4 Get Real broke her maiden by 8 in her last start. She hasn’t run since Feb. but consistent works suggests she is ready. #6 Almost an Angel has faced some tough company and should appreciate this spot.

#5 Princess Sinead is Graded Stakes placed filly making only her 2nd start in the U.S. She ran a good race last time over a yielding Belmont turf course and expect her to be real sharp here. #4 Glamour Puss hasn’t missed a check in 4 starts and can boast a win over this course at this distance.
