Race 1: MANIACAL (2) has fast works for a sharp trainer with two year-olds. COCKED AND LOADED (6) has several works to be fit and ready at first asking. IFYOUWINYOUGETMORE (4) competes for a 15% trainer with first time starters.
Race 2: POLITICALLYCORRECT (4) should like the return to the dirt against easier competition. MOON TRAVELER (1) rallied late to win his last start and moves up in class. SEVE (3) cuts back in distance for his second start off a break.
Race 3: DARING DANCER (5) had a winning campaign as a three year-old including a victory at the distance in the G3 Appalachian Stakes at Keeneland. Barn does well with horses off the layoff and training well. OVERHEARD (2) has plenty of class if ready off the bench. KITTEN’S QUEEN (1) should be a serious threat stalking if she can handle the shorter distance.
Race 4: NIGHT MANEUVER (7) leads into the race in top form for a barn that claimed him back and should be a threat from start to finish. UNBRIDLED VENTURE (4) takes on slightly easier company and should be tough late. OUIMET (1) exits a sharp performance with early speed.
Race 5: ENGAGINGLEE (1) should like the return to a longer distance. She has two wins out of her last four starts with a versatile running style. MISS BESILU (4) returns off a six-month layoff to be a major player against non-graded stakes company. VIA STRATA (6) heads into the race undefeated to be a serious contender with her early speed for top connections.
Race 6: LOVE’S ILLUSION (1) has a bullet workout with two solid efforts on the grass going long. SONOMA D’ORO (10) improved on the grass and should perform better with a better draw. QUINTA VERDE (3) runs for a competitive turf outfit as she tries a longer distance on the turf for her first start in the U.S.
Race 7: CINNAMON SPICE (6) won her last two starts impressively to take on tougher company this time around. BIRD MAKER (1) should improve off her last effort. ELUSIVE FATE (2) ran second in a stakes last time out and several efforts in the money at this level.
Race 8: DONWORTH (4) broke his maiden first time out with a troubled trip. The well-bred colt has some tactical speed to be a contender. BLUFF (5) ran fourth behind top derby prospect, INTERNATIONL STAR, in his latest effort. He should be dangerous turning for home. OUTLASH (7) has a good work over the local surface since his victory at first asking for the Pletcher stable.
Race 9: MOONLIT METEOR (6) goes for four wins in a row for a sharp stable with sprinters at the claiming level. GIBSON’S BULLET (1) leads into the race in top form, but may prefer softer footing. OTOKOGI (5) returns fresh with several works over the track.
