Race 1: SKYWAY (1) was purchased $165k last October.  Filly has two sharp drills from the gate including a bullet work over the Keeneland’s Polytrack.  CLIMB IN BACK (6) competes for the sharp 2yo barn (27%) and has a fast breeze from the gate on 3/29.  DISCREET SONG (3) has quite a few intriguing workout schedule compared to most in this field.

Picks 1-6-3

Race 2:  SHUN (7) won at the distance on the Polytrack during the fall meet and has been facing allowance company since then to make him dangerous at the $16k claiming level.  He has been training well and could be a serious threat on or near the lead.  HORNED FROG (1) has a solid record at the distance, but needs to bounce back from a poor performance last time out.  SPARTEN KING (2) poses as a threat from off the pace with record 5-1-0-2 at the track and hits the board quite often.

Picks 7-1-2

Race 3:  COUNTY CORRECTIONS (5) was the beaten favorite at the maiden allowance level and drops in for a tag second time out.  Colt has good works to be a major player today.  FRANKLIN (8) should improve second off the layoff.  MR. CHOW (7) needs a sharp break to leap forward today.

Picks 5-8-7

Race 4:  SOUTHERN HONEY (8) improved in her latest performance and could continue to move forward at today’s distance.  STATE VISIT (6) returns to a sprint distance with a sharp 3f drill for a high percentage trainer.   RISTRETTA (1) has plenty of workouts to be ready on debut including a fast 4f breeze on 3/29.

Picks 8-6-1

Race 5:  UP WITH THE BIRDS (4) is a consistent runner that returns off winter break.  He has won off the bench in the past to be a contender on either surface.  BOISTEROUS (7) is a grade one winner that will face much easier competition for the Pletcher stable.  The 7yo has three wins at the distance.   SKY BLAZER (6) leads into the race in top form.  Turf runner has improved since the hood has been added this year.

Picks 4-7-6

Race 6:  PURSE STRINGS (3) is a TAPIT filly that was sold with a $240k price tag.  Solid connections have high hopes for the 3yo with a nice workout schedule as she makes her debut performance today.  Barn wins at 17% with firsters.  SUMMER CAMP (7) pressed the pace only to fade in the final eighth of a mile.  She should move forward at second asking.  CREATIVE SPIRIT (8) showed potential on debut, but was a disappointment last time out.  She returns fresh with three good works to make a turnaround today.

Picks 3-7-8

Race 7:  VANITY FEATURE (1) won gate to wire at the distance at Keeneland last October and looks to repeat that performance with early speed on the rail.  LAY IT DOWN (9) goes for five wins in a row, but moves up in class.  He has versatility to take him a long way for a sharp barn (29%).  JAGGER M (7) could be dangerous late in the stretch if ready off the layoff.

Picks 1-9-7

Race 8:  MYOSITIS DAN (10) broke his maiden over the local surface and has two sharp efforts in recent starts.  He gets a rider switch to snatch his second career win from off the pace.  ARTEMUS COALMINE (7) could not catch the winner in his last start.  He returns fresh and should sit on or near the lead early for the Ramseys.  SORPRESA D’ORO (3) graduated at the distance last time out and will face winners first time.  Cold could be tough running late.

Picks 10-7-3

Race 9:  The G1 Ashland Stakes – TESTA ROSSI (6) exits a win against graded stakes company in the Florida Oaks.  She loves the grass, but tackles the synthetic footing first time.  Filly looks to have a bright future as a 3yo going long. ROSALIND (8) has the best form over the Polytrack and should improve off her latest performance.  THANK YOU MARYLOU (5) stretches out to a route first time for the highly competitive Ramsey/Maker duo.  She exits a win and could stay around for a piece of the pie with her early speed.

Picks 6-8-5

Race 10:  CANNY NANNY (2) exits an outstanding performance against starter allowance foes last time out.  She’s versatile as she makes her second start off the layoff.  SATISFACTION (4) has been tough in her lightly raced career so far to make her a contender on the grass.   ARDINGLY (7) can move forward stalking the pace with rider Leparoux retaining the mount.

Picks 2-4-7
