     At Keeneland (through October 2015):

    • Won four stakes, all Grade 3 races, during the 2014 Spring Meet: Commonwealth on Occasional View, Appalachian Presented by Keeneland Select on Daring Dancer, Ben Ali on Frac Daddy and Bewitch on Inimitable Romanee.
    • Rode Kitten Kaboodle to win the 2013 JPMorgan Chase Jessamine (G3).
    • Won three consecutive races at Keeneland on Oct. 17, 2013 – fifth, sixth and seventh.
    • Won three races on April 4 and Oct. 27, 2012.
    • Won three races at Keeneland on April 13, 2011, all for trainer Kenny McPeek.
    • Won the 2010 Toyota Blue Grass (G1) on Stately Victor (for his first stakes win at the track) and Juddmonte Spinster (G1) aboard Acoma.
    • First Keeneland win came during the 2008 Fall Meet.

    • Triple Crown win: 2008 Belmont (G1) aboard Da’ Tara at 38-1.
    • Breeders’ Cup win: 2007 Filly and Mare Turf (G1) aboard Lahudood (GB).
    • North American career earnings were more than $82 million through mid-January 2016 with 1,542 wins.
    • 2015 earnings were $4,575,109. His 94 wins included three Grade 2 stakes at Woodbine aboard Are You Kidding Me: Eclipse, Nijinsky and Autumn.
    • 2014 earnings were $3,112,702 when he won 42 races, including the Lake George (G2) at Saratoga on Daring Dancer.
    • 2013 earnings were $5,063,655. Rode Real Solution to win Arlington Million (G1), War Dancer to win the Virginia Derby (G2) and Kitten Kaboodle to win the JPMorgan Chase Jessamine (G3) at Keeneland.
    • 2012 earnings were $6,923,393. Won King’s Bishop (G1) on Willy Beamin, Forego (G1) on Emcee and Go for Wand (G2) on Nefertini.
    • 2011 earnings were $5,913,470. Wins included Vinery Racing Spiral (G3) aboard Animal Kingdom.
    • Scored 1,000th victory on March 20, 2010, at Gulfstream Park aboard Saint Eligius.
    • Won Metropolitan Handicap (G1) in 2009 on Bribon and 2008 on Divine Park.
    • Won 2009 Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) with Funny Moon.
    • Won 2009 UAE Derby (G2) aboard Regal Ransom.
    • Leading rider on NYRA circuit in 2008 when he won titles at both Aqueduct meets and at Saratoga.
    • Won 2008 Sword Dancer Invitational (G1) with Grand Courturier (GB).
    • Leading apprentice rider at The Meadowlands in 2003.


    Alan’s father, Dagoberto, and grandfather were both jockeys in Peru. Graduated from Peruvian jockey school and was leading apprentice in 2002-2003 prior to coming to the U.S.
