    • Breeders’ Cup wins (3): 2007 Classic on Curlin; 2009 Juvenile Fillies Turf on Tapitsfly; 2011 Mile on 64-1 longshot Court Vision. 
    • North American career earnings exceeded $202 million as through Sept. 29, 2016, with 4,940 wins.
    • 2015 earnings were $6,431,502. His 140 wins included the Pucker Up (G3) at Arlington on Mizz Money and the Hawthorne Derby (G3) and Ontario Derby (G3), both on Lucky Lindy.
    • 2014 earnings were $6,048,759. Won 120 races, including four graded stakes topped by the Firecracker (G2) at Churchill Downs on Silver Max.
    • Won five races at Fair Grounds on Dec. 20, 2014, including the Sugar Bowl and Letellier Memorial Stakes.
    • Recorded his 1,000th victory at Churchill Downs on Oct. 30, 2014, and ranks behind only Pat Day and Calvin Borel at the track.
    • 2013 earnings were $7,143,565. Won 2013 Shadwell Turf Mile (G1) at Keeneland aboard Silver Max. Scored Grade 2 wins in the Oaklawn Handicap with Cyber Secret; West Virginia Derby and Super Derby on Departing; and Bernard Baruch Handicap on Silver Max.
    • 2012 earnings were $4,529,571. Highlights included two graded wins on July 21: Virginia Derby (G2) on Silver Max and Virginia Oaks (G3) with Volcat.
    • 2011 earnings were $5,839,312. Won Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) on Court Vision and Humana Distaff (G1) on Sassy Image.
    • Won 4,000th race on May 30, 2009, at Churchill Downs aboard Keertana.
    • Eighth rider to reach 800 wins at Churchill Downs on April 30, 2009.
    • Won 2008 Dubai World Cup (G1) on Curlin.
    • Won seven riding titles at Fair Grounds, most recently 2008-2009.
    • Leading rider at Churchill Downs (spring 2008), Arlington (1996) and Oaklawn (1996 and 1997).
    • Won four Grade 1 races with Horses of the Year Mineshaft (2003) and Curlin (2008).
    • Ranked second nationally by earnings in 2007 with $19,399,249.
    • Eclipse Award finalist for leading jockey in 2007 and 2008.
    • Created the Robby Albarado Foundation in late 2007 to assist homeless, socially and economically disadvantaged and less fortunate individuals in the Louisville, Ky., area.
    • Received George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award in 2004.
    • Won 3,000th race on Dec. 9, 2004, at Fair Grounds on Isle of Silver, and 2,000th race at Keeneland on April 20, 2000.


    Robby told Daily Racing Form: “When I was 10 years old, I was small. It was always my goal to ride. Shelton LeBlanc (was) a powerful trainer in South Louisiana. He started to put me on horses when I was 10. He helped me with all the basics, and really got me started.” In another Racing Form interview, he said: “Mr. LeBlanc had me hot walking, mucking stalls and then galloping horses.” Albarado started riding the Louisiana bush tracks when he was 12 and by 16 was riding at Evangeline Downs. His father also rode at the bush tracks.
