Parking Overview

With space for 10,000 cars, Keeneland offers fans a variety of parking options. Free public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in Rows 10-20 and Rows 26-34 near the Grandstand. Free parking is also available in The Meadow and on The Hill, both located adjacent to the Keeneland Entertainment Center.

A designated lot is assigned to buses and RVs, adjacent to Barns 1-3. Drop-off and pick-up for taxis, Uber and Lyft will be located at the top of the Drive-Thru Betting lane.

For ease of traffic flow, Keeneland suggests the following Gate access to patrons:

  • Gate 1 (Versailles Road across from Man o' War Blvd): Free parking, handicap parking, buses and RVs, taxis/Uber/Lyft, Keene Place and/or Entertainment Center guests
  • Gate 2 (off Versailles Road): Permit parking, Clubhouse valet parking, LexTran
  • Gate 3 (off Rice Road): Barn, Stable Office, Racing Office and Track Kitchen parking
  • Gates 4 and 5 (off Van Meter Road): The Hill parking
*Tailgating in the Louisville Lot will no longer be available. Tailgaters are encouraged to join the fun on The Hill, which offers racing action via a jumbo screen and mutuel machines, plus local food trucks and live Bluegrass music.

Additional Security at Admission Gates

This fall, fans will also notice additional security when entering Keeneland’s admission gates. Patrons will be asked to open their coats or jackets for visual inspection, and soft checks will be done of purses and backpacks.

As always, firearms and weapons are not allowed within the race track gates.

Handicap Parking/Shuttles

Those guests requiring handicap parking are asked to enter through Gate 1. Please display your government issued hangtag.

Golf carts transport handicap patrons to and from the handicap parking lot. Note that at peak times, there will be a wait for these patrons. For patrons who need assistance and have parked on The Hill or in The Meadow, it is preferred that they use the shuttle bus.

Keeneland Shuttles

For those patrons using the free parking and tailgating lots, Keeneland provides free shuttle service to and from the Grandstand. Shuttle stops are situated throughout the grounds, and shuttles run continuously from 10 a.m. until 30 minutes after the last race.

Red Mile will offer free round-trip shuttle service on Fridays and Saturdays for patrons who park at Red Mile and want to come to the track. Shuttles will depart Red Mile every 30 minutes beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET and drop off and pick-up at Keeneland’s Grandstand South Entrance. The final shuttle on both days will depart from Keeneland one hour after the last race to return to Red Mile, where fans can enjoy simulcast racing, Instant Racing and live music in the Grand Atrium beginning at 9 p.m. on Fridays and 8 p.m. on Saturdays.

Buses

All buses are required to enter the Keeneland grounds via Gate 1. Buses will be instructed to park in the designated lot off Back Gate Drive.
