With space for 10,000 cars, Keeneland offers fans a variety of parking options. This spring, free public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in Rows 10-20 and Rows 26-34 near the Grandstand. Free parking is also available in The Meadow and on The Hill, both located adjacent to the Keeneland Entertainment Center.
A designated lot is assigned to buses and RVs, adjacent to Barns 1-3. Drop-off and pick-up for taxis, Uber and Lyft will be located at the top of the Drive-Thru Betting lane.
For ease of traffic flow, Keeneland suggests the following Gate access to patrons:
Additional Security at Admission Gates
This spring, fans will also notice additional security when entering Keeneland’s admission gates. Patrons will be asked to open their coats or jackets for visual inspection, and soft checks will be done of purses and backpacks.
As always, firearms and weapons are not allowed within the race track gates.
Golf carts transport handicap patrons to and from the handicap parking lot. Note that at peak times, there will be a wait for these patrons. For patrons who need assistance and have parked on The Hill or in The Meadow, it is preferred that they use the shuttle bus.
For those patrons using the free parking and tailgating lots, Keeneland provides free shuttle service to and from the Grandstand. Shuttle stops are situated throughout the grounds, and shuttles run continuously from 10 a.m. until 30 minutes after the last race.
Red Mile will offer free round-trip shuttle service on Fridays and Saturdays for patrons who park at Red Mile and want to come to the track. Shuttles will depart Red Mile every 30 minutes beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET and drop off and pick-up at Keeneland’s Grandstand South Entrance. The final shuttle on both days will depart from Keeneland one hour after the last race to return to Red Mile, where fans can enjoy simulcast racing, Instant Racing and live music in the Grand Atrium beginning at 9 p.m. on Fridays and 8 p.m. on Saturdays.
Lextran and Colt Trolley
You can ride Lextran or the Colt Trolley to Keeneland throughout the duration of the racing season. Take the trolley to the races for just $1 each way on weekends. Park free at downtown transit center. Go to COLTTROLLEY.COM for details or LEXTRAN.COM/KEENELAND for the full Lextran schedule.

For the Spring Meet, Keeneland has teamed up with the HERO Campaign to promote the use of safe and sober designated drivers. Please visit the HERO Tent on The Hill where patrons can pledge to be a designated driver. Registrants will receive a "Be a HERO" wristband, a voucher for a free soft drink at any trackside concession stand and the chance to win additional prizes.
