The Steward's Report provides an explanation of any inquiries and objections during a race day at Keeneland. Please click the race day you wish to view from the list below for more information.
An objection was lodged by the rider of fourth place #1 “Kel Kel Karterbug” (Joel Dominguez) alleging interference by the riders of both the third place #6 “Green Gold” (Albin Jimenez) and the winner #7 “Rest Assured” (Javier Castellano) in the turn. After reviewing the films and interviewing the riders the stewards determined that #1 lacked the momentum and room to stay on the rail and checked to get out of his poor position. There was no change in the order of finish and the race was posted official.
A Stewards’ Inquiry was posted involving the stretch run and, in addition, an objection was lodged by the rider of third place #4 “Right There” (Flavien Prat) alleging interference by the rider of second place #5 “Put Da Blame On Me” (Tyler Gaffalione) in the stretch. After reviewing the films and interviewing the riders the stewards put the blame on #5, determining that #5 drifted out throughout the stretch, seriously impeding the progress of #4. #5 was disqualified from second and placed third.
Official order of finish: 1-4-5-6

A Stewards Inquiry was posted when the rider of fourth place #3 “A Red Tie Day” (Gary Stevens) checked his mount while between horses inside the 1/16 pole. After reviewing the films and interviewing the riders of #3, second place #7 “Kaigun” (Joe Bravo) and third place #5 “Royal Albert Hall (GB)” (Flavian Prat) the stewards concluded that the horse was being passed on either side while stopping, and the slight incident did not have an impact on the final order of finish. There was no change made and the race was posted official.
