Kim Nelson

Kim Nelson has worked with horses all her life. She rode hunter jumpers as a child and teenager. She then moved on to work for North Ridge Farm learning the basics with mares, foals and yearlings. She has worked through the years for Carl Nafzger, Adena Springs, The Daily Racing Form and Marylou Whitney Stables. Keeneland has always been the home track for Kim and this will be her 10 year anniversary handicapping the spring and fall meets.

#10 Concord Grape drops to a new low. She can boast the best last Beyer Speed figure and she has hit the board her last 3 starts. #4 Holiday Storm comes off the layoff and is also dropping. Brings a decent work tab. #9 Summer Lovin is a firster from the Kenneally barn. Barn is having a great meet and this one is in a soft spot.

#7 Radiantrithym is a consistent check getter. Past form suggest she fits with this level of company. #5 What What What is making her first start off the claim. She seldom misses a check and has some early foot. #1 Arch Arch Baby didn't handle the turf at Kentucky Downs last start but the move back to the main track should help. Likes the distance and should find a spot on the board.

3rd Race

#2 Love Point faced the toughest of company in his debut effort. Fog of War won that one and the 3rd place finisher won the Dixiana Bourbon Stakes opening weekend. Maybe a little flat at Kentucky Downs in his last but expect him to fire going the 2 turns here. #6 Cowboys Dream adds the blinkers and this is his 2nd time Lasix. Improving sort could be tough here. #8 Game Day Decision should improve off his last and make his presence known here.

#4 Soaring Now is 2 for 2 at this distance and 1 for 1 at Keeneland. She has some early foot and could get the job done. #1 Katie the Cutie has enough early foot to take advantage of the inside draw and gets Leparoux in the irons. #12 Seeking Bull draws a tough outside post but his stalking style could prove effective at this distance and could get up for part.

#5 Shareholder Value has been a popular claim recently. New barn adds blinkers and might push the gelding to show some early speed. #6 Rich Daddy very successful last year but has yet to hit the board in 3 starts this year. The class relief here should get him back on track. #9 Langdarma has consistent Beyer numbers and is a distant specialist.

#10 Snapper Sinclair is making his first off the layoff. Colt has face some tough company and is backing up distance and moving to the grass for his return. Do note he is a winner at this distance and expect the Asmussen barn to have sharp for his return. #6 Belgian just missed in his last at Kentucky Downs. He can be quick out of the gates and may prove tough to catch. #8 Student Body Left backs up off the 2 turns and looks capable for part.

#10 Bell's the One outran her odds to win in her debut effort. Like that Geroux climbs aboard and she could make it 2 in row. #9 Midnight Karma ran away from the field in her debut winning by 12 and has moved to the Asmussen barn for her 2nd start. #1 Marvelous Martina has a couple of races under her belt. Winner at first asking, which is unusual for the Wilkes barn, and a 2nd last out.

#8 Create Again is making his first off the layoff. Barn gets 20% winners with this type and note the he is a first time gelding. Like the worktab. #2 Blue Lute broke his maiden easily last out posting an 82 Beyer. He fits well with these. #9 Discovered has the early foot to show the way.
