The fourth and final session of Keeneland’s January Horse of All Ages Sale got off to a fast start on Thursday when City to Farm Stable paid $125,000 for a full sister to 2013 Florida Oaks (G3) winner Tapicat.

Consigned by Considine Farm, agent, the filly is by leading sire Tapit out of the Storm Cat mare Zealous Cat, and from the family of champion older mare Track Robbery.

“I thought it was a really special pedigree,” said Randy Gullatt of Twin Creeks Racing Stable, who signed the ticket for the filly. “I’ve tried to buy horses out of that family before; I just thought it was a pedigree to get into. The plan is to breed her to one of our stallions, probably to Graydar.”
