LEXINGTON, KY (April 3, 2013) – Juveniles cataloged for Keeneland’s upcoming April Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale will be showcased under tack for potential buyers during Preview Day, Thursday, April 4, beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Keeneland has cataloged 137 two-year-olds for its 21th annual April Sale, scheduled for Monday, April 8, at 4 p.m.
Preview Day works will be streamed live at Keeneland.com. Within hours of their conclusion, Keeneland will post videos of each workout on its website. Videos will be available for viewing through the April 8 sale.
Work replays also will be available in the Keeneland Sales Pavilion TV viewing room beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 5, through the sale.
The April Sale has produced five classic winners during its rich 20-year history: Preakness (G1) winner and multiple champion Lookin At Lucky; Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness winner and champion Big Brown; Kentucky Derby and Belmont (G1) winner and champion Thunder Gulch; and Kentucky Oaks (G1) winners Keeper Hill and Gal in a Ruckus.
Recent graded stakes-winning April Sale alumni include such notables as Golden Ticket (2012 Travers Stakes-G1); Love and Pride (2012 Personal Ensign Handicap-G1 and Zenyatta Stakes-G1); Balance the Books (2012 With Anticipation Stakes-G2 and Bourbon Stakes-G3), Cigar Street (2013 Skip Away Stakes-G3); and What a Name (IRE), co-champion juvenile filly in France last year and winner of the 2012 Prix La Rochette (G3).
