Keeneland Sales Grads Palace Malice, Sweet Reason Capture Grade 1 Wins on Belmont Day

LEXINGTON, KY (June 9, 2014) – Keeneland sales alumni Palace Malice and Sweet Reason won the Metropolitan Handicap (G1) and TVG Acorn (G1), respectively, on Belmont Day. Palace Malice, purchased by owner Dogwood Stable at the 2012 April Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale and winner of the 2013 Belmont (G1), continued to show his class with an authoritative win in the Met Mile while carrying high weight of 124 pounds. Sweet Reason scored her second Grade 1 win in taking the TVG Acorn, defeating a strong field of 3-year-old fillies.
