Keeneland September Sale Alum Girvin Tops Kentucky Derby Point Standings with Risen Star Win

LEXINGTON, KY (Feb. 27, 2017) – Keeneland sales alumni Girvin, Untrapped and Local Hero finished 1-2-3 in the Risen Star (G2) at Fair Grounds on Saturday. With the upset victory, Girvin earned 50 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and vaulted to the top of the leaderboard standings. On Sunday, Conquest Mo Money, purchased by owner Judge Lanier Racing from the Conquest Stables dispersal at Keeneland’s 2016 November Breeding Stock Sale, remained undefeated in winning the Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland.
