Keeneland September Sale Graduates Provide Fireworks Over Holiday Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (July 7, 2014) – Graduates of Keeneland’s September Yearling Sale turned in rousing graded stakes performances over the July 4 weekend: Something Extra scored an impressive front-running win in the Highlander (G2) at Woodbine; Clearly Now captured the Belmont Sprint Championship (G3) by 6¼ lengths in track-record time; Itsmyluckyday became a millionaire with his victory in the Salvator Mile (G3) at Monmouth, defeating a solid field of older horses for this third consecutive win this year; and Kid Cruz rallied to launch a thrilling stretch drive that resulted in a three-quarter-length win in the Dwyer (G3) at Belmont.
