Keeneland Handicapping Challenge Results
December 7, 2013
Jim Keller of Florence, Kentucky hit a couple of huge prices early in the day and held on to win the Keeneland Handicapping Challenge on Saturday by a grand total of 60 cents over Jason Duncan of Lexington. The contest, consisting of 15 optional races with mythical wagers of $2 win-place, was exciting all day long, with multiple “cap horses” at Aqueduct, Woodbine, and Gulfstream.
Paul Parker of Woodstock, Georgia cashed a $7.70 place ticket on the last race of the day at Woodbine to vault past a very compact field playing for third place, and he qualified for the third and final spot in the National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas by 70 cents.
Jim, Jason and Paul will join approximately 480 of the best handicappers in North America in a quest for the $750,000 first prize in the NHC, sponsored by Sovereign Stables, Roberts Communications, the Daily Racing Form, the NTRA and Treasure Island.
The NHC will be held in Las Vegas at the Treasure Island Resort on January 24-26, 2014.
