General admission and parking are free on Nov. 1-2 when Keeneland simulcasts the $27 million Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Santa Anita.
Gates open at 11 a.m. (ET). Simulcasting begins at 12:25 p.m. on Friday and 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to the Breeders’ Cup, patrons can wager on simulcast racing from such prominent tracks as Churchill Downs, Aqueduct, Golden Gate, Woodbine, Gulfstream and Hawthorne, among others.
On Friday, post time for the first race at Santa Anita is 1:40 p.m., with the first Breeders’ Cup race scheduled for 4:45 p.m. Post time for the day’s final Breeders’ Cup race, the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
On Saturday, post time for the first race at Santa Anita is 1:15 p.m., with the first Breeders’ Cup race set for 3:05 p.m. Post time for the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) is 8:35 p.m.
Advance wagering will be available on Thursday for Friday’s full Breeders’ Cup card and on Friday for Saturday’s races. For bettors’ convenience, Keeneland’s drive-thru betting windows will be open on Thursday, Oct. 31, during normal hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Grandstand mutuels will open at noon on Friday and Saturday.
The Breeders’ Cup simulcast from Santa Anita will be shown on TV monitors throughout the facility as well as on the infield tote board. Additionally, Keeneland will show NBC Sports Network coverage on monitors throughout the facility beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Concessions will be open throughout the grandstand on Friday and Saturday. Dining reservations are available for the trackside Equestrian Room on Friday and Saturday and for the 4th floor Lexington and Kentucky rooms on Saturday. On Saturday from 6-8:30 p.m., Keeneland will feature half-price appetizers in the Equestrian Room, $1 hot dogs at all concessions, $2 off all mixed drinks, beer and wine in the dining areas and concession stands, and $10 off any bottle of wine in the dining areas.
