KEENELAND           WEEKEND WARRIOR                   3/16/13

GULFSTREAM PARK

Race 10/ grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes

Pianist has been touted since her very first start at two, but last year, she was only okay but not great.  However, the first start at age four was arguably her best effort, suggesting to me that she's all grown up now.  Centre Court will take a lot of money but she's never run at this one-mile distance.

Bet #6 Pianist to win, place

Exactas key #6 with #8 Samitar, #4 Channel Lady, #2 Centre Court

SANTA ANITA

Race 7/grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes

In his first start on dirt, More Chocolate ran his best figure yet, by 10 points.  And he should relish the stretchout to a mile-and-an-eighth in a well-matched group.

Bet #6 More Chocolate to win

Exactas key #6 with #5 Snow Fall, #2 Brushed by a Star

Race 8/grade 2 San Luis Rey

Slim Shadey is the likely favorite off an impressive win but it's noteworthy that he's 0-for-3 at today's mile-and-a-half distance.  That makes him vulnerable and that's why I'm leaning to Bourbon Bay.  He loves 12 furlongs and he also has 7 wins on the lawn at Santa Anita.

Bet #9 Bourbon Bay to win, place

Exactas:  key #9 with #1 Slim Shadey, #2 Interaction

OAKLAWN PARK

Race 9/ grade 3 Azeri

I don't like picking odds-on favorites but there's no getting past My Miss Aurelia here.  She has a class edge, she's working lights out and some of her best racing have come around two turns.  The best chance to make some money here is to find a price-horse to run second and I think it could Song and Sonnets, as the pacesetter.

Bet #7 My Miss Aurelia to win

Exactas:  key #7 with #6 Don't Tell Sophia, #4 Song and Sonnets

Race 10/ grade 2 Rebel Stakes

I've been waiting for Oxbow to run again after watching him turn in a better-than-it-looked effort in the Risen Star, when he was hung wide the whole way and may have moved too early.  He's back in this spot and poorly drawn again, in an outside post, but I'm going with him anyway--and hoping for a better trip.  It is noteworthy that Garrett Gomez gave up a mount in a grade 1 at Santa Anita to come here.

Bet #9 Oxbow to win, place

Exactas:  key #9 with #10 Super Ninety Nine, #1 Treasury Bill, #4 Delhomme

AQUEDUCT

Race 9/ Cicada Stakes

I like to bet Florida shippers in these late winter/early spring races in New York and that draws me to Highestmaintainence.  This Pletcher-trained filly won her debut with a big figure and came back with a solid effort.

Bet #6 Highestmaintainence to win, place

Exactas:  key #6 with #7 Railtown Girl, #5 Elghayoor
