Race Day Operations
Keeneland’s limited grounds access will end at 11 a.m. daily, following morning workouts. At this point, only horsemen responsible for the daily care of the horses on the backside are permitted. At 12 p.m. Keeneland's South Gate entrance will open to credentialed horsemen and owners.
Gate Check: On race days, beginning at 11 a.m., all visitors entering the Keeneland grounds will be asked to present a race day ticket, parking hang tag or explain business purpose for being on the grounds.
Face Coverings: Face coverings are required for everyone. Masks may be removed only while seated at designated seat or table.
Admission Gates: Gates open at 12:00 p.m. to credentialed owners. All attendees are asked to enter through the South Gate entrance, near the Welcome Center.
Paddock: Access to this area is limited to the trainer, trainer’s assistant and groom. Additionally 4 owners for undercard and 6 owners for stakes per horse will be allowed access with a designated lapel sticker being required for entry.
Food & Beverage: A variety of food and beverage options will be available for purchase throughout the grandstand.
Mutuels: Live tellers and self-service machines will be available throughout the facility. Guests are encouraged to wager from their mobile device through Keeneland Select for a contactless option. Drive-thru betting will be open at Keeneland on race days.
Racing Office: This area will be limited to essential staff only and will have security monitoring.
