April 19, 2019

Three Chimneys Farm and Fern Circle Stables’ Restless Rider, runner-up in the Central Bank Ashland (G1) on April 6, is scheduled to van to Churchill Downs this afternoon to continue training for an expected run in the $1.25 million Kentucky Oaks (G1) on May 3, according to Patrick Gilligan, assistant to trainer Kenny McPeek.

Also scheduled to ship to Louisville this afternoon is stablemate Signalman, third-place finisher in the Toyota Blue Grass (G2). Owned by the partnership of Tommie Lewis, Steve Crabtree, Dean Demaree, David Bernsen, Jim Chambers and Magdalena Racing, Signalman would need two defections from horses under consideration for the $3 million Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) to be in the starting gate for the May 4 race.
