Juveniles with Keeneland sales and racing connections – Structor and British Idiom– captured Breeders’ Cup World Championships on “Future Stars Friday” at Santa Anita.
Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Structor won the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Presented by Coolmore America (G1). Structor finished three-quarters of a length in front of Billy Batts, a fellow graduate of the 2018 September Sale.
Gainesway, agent, consigned the son of Palace Malice to the September Sale, where the colt sold for $160,000 to Marquee Bloodstock.
British Idiom captured the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) to remain undefeated in three career starts. The Flashback filly earned an automatic berth into the Juvenile Fillies when she won Keeneland’s Darley Alcibiades (G1) on Oct. 5.
Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G2) winner Four Wheel Drive was based at Keeneland this fall with trainer Wesley Ward.
