Keeneland Sales Graduates Led by Travers Winner Arrogate Capture Four Grade 1 Stakes at Saratoga

September Sale graduates win 35 Grade/Group 1 stakes to date in 2016

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 29, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates triumphed in four Grade 1 stakes on Saturday at Saratoga, headlined by Arrogate’s track record-setting, 13½-length score in the Travers (G1). 

Stablemates Arrogate and Drefong, decisive winner of the Ketel One King’s Bishop (G1), were both sold at Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale. So far this year, September Sale graduates have won 35 Grade/Group 1 stakes in the U.S. and abroad.

On the same race card, two November Breeding Stock Sale graduates punched their tickets to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships with Grade 1 wins: Cavorting took the Personal Ensign (G1) to earn a trip to the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) and Haveyougoneaway secured a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) with a victory in the Ballerina (G1).
