The multiple Grade 1-winner breezed four-furlongs in :48 1/5 with the last eighth in a swift :10 4/5 and galloped out five-furlongs in a sharp :59 2/5, working on his own just after 5:30 A.M. for trainer Cherie DeVaux. Interior splits on the three-year-old bay colt were :13 2/5, :26 3/5, :37 2/5, and up in 1:12 1/5. The son of Maxfield is coming off an impressive open-length win in the Grade 1 H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes at Saratoga on August 29.
