$1.2 Million War Front Filly Starts Day 2 of September Sale

Less than an hour after the start of Tuesday’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Seahorse Stables paid $1.2 million for a War Front filly who is a half-sister to Canadian champion Lukes Alley.

Consigned by Gainesway, agent, the filly is out of the stakes-winning A.P. Indy mare Vaulcluse. She also is a half-sister to Grade 3-placed stakes winner Arrifana.

The September Sale covers 11 sessions through Sept. 24.

Mayberry Farm spent $1.15 million for a colt by Quality Road who is from the family of Grade 1 winner Charlatan during Tuesday’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Dixiana Farms consigned the colt, who is out of the English Channel mare Brielle’s Appeal. Brielle’s Appeal is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Authenticity, dam of Charlatan and stakes winner Hanalei Moon.

The September Sale covers 11 sessions through Sept. 24.

W.S. Farish Jr. spent $1.6 million for a Quality Road colt who is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Girvin and Grade 3 winners Cocked and Loaded, Midnight Bourbon and Pirate’s Punch during Tuesday’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Eaton Sales, agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised, consigned the colt, whose dam is the Malibu Moon mare Catch the Moon. Half-brother Midnight Bourbon was second in this year’s Preakness (G1) and Runhappy Travers (G1).

The September Sale covers 11 sessions through Sept. 24.

 A full brother to European champion Air Force Blue sold for $1 million to Lynnhaven Racing during Tuesday’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Consigned by Stone Farm, the colt is by War Front out of the Maria’s Mon mare Chatham.

The September Sale covers 11 sessions through Sept. 24.
