Today’s New York Hot List races to watch – Friday, May 27, 2022 at Belmont Park

2nd race [Clm 40000, 7F] – (5) Glory Road was a winner last time in his first start off a claim by Orlando Noda and comes back in a similar spot a month later. (6) Its All Relevant has two wins in a row for Rudy Rodriguez in a $25,000 claimer and then a starter handicap. (4) Full Court Press ran twice this year in allowances and now drops in for a tag and cuts back in distance to seven furlongs where he has a past victory. (1A) Lafitte’s Fleet was claimed from a third at Keeneland for $25,000 last month and will make his first start in New York.

3rd race [Md Sp Wt, 6F TURF] – (5) Frosted Oats will return from a September layoff for Bill Mott and goes back to the turf where last year he was third at Saratoga. (1) Devilly was third last time at Keeneland and before that tried to rally at Gulfstream Park on a turf course that generally favored forwardly placed horses. (2) Osiria was third last month behind a horse that came back to win her next start. (6) Bali Belle will cut back in distance for Christophe Clement with 3 board-hitting finishes from 5 career starts.

6th race [NY, Alw 80000, 1 mi] – (4) Gallina has 2 wins from 2 starts earlier this year and now comes back from a February layoff for the Bond barn. (5) Stone Creator gets blinkers on after three consecutive place finishes following a debut victory last year for Charlie Baker who is very good at keeping his horses in top form. (7) Caragate broke her maiden at Aqueduct and then was third in a NY-bred stake before being overmatched in the Gazelle (G3). (3) Gringotts was claimed from a $25,000 open claiming race and gets a rider upgrade for her new barn.

7th race [Clm 50000 N2L, 6F TURF] – (7) Storm Shooter made her turf debut and finished second behind a horse that won his second race in a row. He was claimed for $30,000 last time by Linda Rice. (4) Fast N Fearious was a winner on the front end by four lengths and was claimed for $40,000 and now makes his turf debut. (11) Ghostlyprince comes back from a year off as a new gelding after racing exclusively at Gulfstream. (6) Blame the Booze ran in the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and then raced once last year in August and was third in an Ellis Park allowance.
