Campanelle (IRE) heads field of 13 for TVG Limestone Turf Sprint

Stonestreet Stables’ Campanelle (IRE), who will be making her 2021 debut, headlines a field of 13 3-year-old fillies entered Tuesday for Friday’s second running of the TVG Limestone Turf Sprint going 5½ furlongs on the grass.

The TVG Limestone Turf Sprint will go as the seventh race on Friday afternoon’s 10-race program with a 4:24 p.m. post time.

Trained by Wesley Ward, who has saddled four stakes winners over the first two days of the Spring Meet, Campanelle won her first three starts last year, including the Queen Mary (G2) at Royal Ascot and the Darley Prix Morny (G1) at Deauville. She closed 2020 with a fourth-place finish here in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1).

Joel Rosario will be aboard for the first time Friday and break from post eight.

Also figuring to attract interest is Terry Hamilton and trainer Brian Lynch’s Tobys Heart. Winner of her first two career starts, including the Bolton Landing (L) at Saratoga, Tobys Heart returned to the races after a six-month hiatus to finish sixth going long in the Herecomesthebride (G3) at Gulfstream Park Feb. 27.

Javier Castellano will have the mount and break from post position seven.
