Grade 1 Winner Rock Your World among Keeneland September Sale Graduates Entered in Belmont

Grade 1 winner Rock Your World is among the three alumni of Keeneland’s 2019 September Yearling Sale included in the field of eight horses entered today in the 153rd running of the $1.5 million Belmont (G1) Presented by NYRA Bets to be run Saturday at Belmont Park.

Nine of the past 15 Belmont winners have come from Keeneland sales: Sir Winston (2019), undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify (2018), Creator (2016), Palace Malice (2013), Ruler On Ice (2011), Drosselmeyer (2010), Da’Tara (2008), Rags to Riches (2007) and Jazil (2006).

The 3-year-old colts who are graduates of the September Sale and are entered in this year’s 1½-mile Belmont are:

France Go de Ina (Will Take Charge-Dreamy Blues) – The Japan-based runner sold to trainer Hideyuki Mori for $100,000 at the 2019 September Sale, where he was consigned by Betz Thoroughbreds, agent. Owned by Yuji Inaida, France Go de Ina was bred by Betz, Kidder, B & K Canetti and Jim Betz. He will be ridden by Ricardo Santana Jr.

Overtook (Curlin-Got Lucky) – Repole Stables, St. Elias and M.V. Magnier paid $1 million for the colt, who was second in the Withers (G3) and third in the Peter Pan (G3), at the 2019 September Sale. Bred by Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings and Philip J. Steinberg, he was consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent. Todd Pletcher trains Overtook for Repole Stable, St. Elias Stable, Michael B. Tabor, Mrs. John Magnier and Derrick Smith. He will be ridden by Manny Franco.

Rock Your World (Candy Ride [ARG]-Charm the Maker) – Bred by Ron McAnally and Deborah McAnally, Rock Your World won the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby (G1) and Pasadena (L) for owners Hronis Racing of Kosta and Pete Hronis along with David Michael Talla. Winter Quarter Farm, agent, consigned the colt to the 2019 September Sale and sold him to Sapphire Stable for $650,000. Joel Rosario will ride Rock Your World for trainer John Sadler.
