nd race – (4) Gem Thief is a first-time starter from Ward who seems poised for a big effort. (3) Princess Secret put in a couple of bullet works for this and deserves respect. (11) Dayoutoftheoffice put in a nice gate work for this. (2) Tharos is another firster from Ward who should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-11.

th race – (2) Digital Footprint drops into a claimer and returns to turf for his first start for Maker. Should be ready for a big effort. (8) Bourbon Currency was a game second last time and is the one to fear. (1) Indian Counselor might wake up in a claimer. (4) Blameless should also welcome some class relief. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-8.

th race - (5) Heir Ball was a solid second last time and should prevail against that spot. (6) Fiber Optic has a nice turn of speed and could be tough to catch in her first start for Maker. (4) Royally Cool returns to turf for Klesaris and should not be ignored. (11) Answer My Call has the kind of late kick that could be beneficial here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-11.

th race – (9) Champagne Bliss (C) dropped from 2-1 to 6-5 then finished a distant second. Was claimed out of that start and is worth a look while switching to turf. (10) Mike’s Girl had a two-race win streak snapped last time and can get back on track here. (2) Lido Key should be competitive in her first try against winners. (3) Bean Counter should be a major factor here. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-9-10.

th race – (13) Call Curt (B) rallied sharply for third in his first try for new connections and should take a step forward here if he can scratch into the race. (6) Kitten’s Clown could be dangerous here in his career debut. (10) Champers returns to claimers and fits in well with this group. (5) Fake Muse might be the real deal here in a claimer. Betting strategy: 13 to win, place.  Exacta box: 5-6-10-13.
