Keeneland-Based Campanelle (IRE) Runs Saturday at Royal Ascot

Stonestreet Stables’ Campanelle (IRE), winner of the April 16 Giant’s Causeway (L) during Keeneland’s 2022 Spring Meet, on Saturday will bid for her third victory at Royal Ascot during the fifth and final day of the prestigious meeting in England.

Fans may watch and wager on Royal Ascot through Keeneland Select, where users earn lucrative rewards and support Keeneland’s mission to invest in Thoroughbred racing. Saturday entrants at Royal Ascot include:

Platinum Jubilee (G1) (4-year-olds and up, 6 furlongs) at 11:20 a.m. ET:

  • Based at Keeneland with trainer Wesley Ward, Campanelle won the 2020 Queen Mary (G2) and 2021 Commonwealth Cup (G1) at Royal Ascot. The filly’s five career wins also include the 2020 Darley Prix Morny (G1) at Deauville in France. Campanelle will be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr.

Wokingham (3-year-olds and up, 6 furlongs) at noon:

  • Volatile Analyst, a 5-year-old stakes-winning gelding by Distorted Humor, was bred by Pollock Farms, Hugh Owen, Town & Country Farms and was offered by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, as a weanling at Keeneland’s 2017 November Breeding Stock Sale. Richard Gilbert and trainer Keith Dalgleish own Volatile Analyst, who will be ridden by Callum Rodriguez.

Golden Gates (3-year-olds and up, 1¼ miles) at 12:35 p.m.:

  • Framont Ltd. bred Missed the Cut, a 3-year-old colt by Quality Road consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent, as a weanling to the 2019 November Sale and purchased by Shadwell Estate Co. Ltd. for $400,000. George Boughey trains Missed the Cut for owner Ed Babington. He will be ridden by James McDonald.
