Keeneland Sales Alumni Max Player, War Like Goddess Seek Grade 1 Glory on Saturday at Saratoga

Keeneland sales alumni Max Player and War Like Goddess seek automatic berths in the 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 5-6 at Del Mar in Grade 1 stakes at Saratoga on Saturday. 

Max Player, winner of the Suburban (G2) at Belmont in July, is among the top contenders in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1), a “Win & You’re In” event for the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). War Like Goddess, winner of graded stakes in her last three starts, including the Bewitch (G3) at Keeneland in April and the recent Glens Falls (G2) at Saratoga, headlines the Flower Bowl (G1), a Challenge race for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1).

On Sunday, Keeneland sales graduates dominate entries for the juvenile filly stakes at Saratoga and Del Mar. Echo Zulu, an impressive 5½-length winner in her career debut at Saratoga, leads the field for the Spinaway (G1) at Saratoga, whileDance to the Music, who won her career bow at Del Mar, highlights the TVG Del Mar Debutante (G1).
