Keeneland Sales Graduates Gamine, Serengeti Empress Enhance Grade 1 Records with Weekend Wins

August 10, 2020

Keeneland sales graduates Gamine and Serengeti Empress burnished their race records with wins in the Test (G1) and Ballerina (G1), respectively, at Saratoga on Saturday.

Gamine followed her brilliant win in the Acorn (G1) in June with an easy seven-length, stakes record-equaling romp in the Test. Serengeti Empress captured the Ballerina to earn a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) on Nov. 7 at Keeneland.

Keeneland-sold juveniles Weston and Jackie’s Warrior won their respective stakes debuts, the Best Pal (G2) at Del Mar and Saratoga Special Presented by Miller Lite (G2) at Saratoga.
