Keeneland Sales Graduates Headline Graded Stakes in U.S. and Dubai

Keeneland sales graduates, among them favored Life Is Good, Epicenter and champion Echo Zulu, are showcased as leading contenders in the $12 million Dubai World Cup (G1) and the TwinSpires.com Louisiana Derby (G2) and Twinspires.com Fair Grounds Oaks (G2), the latter both key preps on the 2022 Roads to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1). 

Life Is Good, winner of the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) and Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), leads a strong American contingent in the Dubai World Cup that includes Grade 1 winner Country Grammer and Grade 3 winner Midnight Bourbon, second and third, respectively, in the recent Saudi Cup (G1). 

Other prominent Keeneland sales graduates entered at Meydan on Dubai World Cup Day are: 

• Grade 1 winner Dr. Schivel, second by a nose in the Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1), and Wondrwherecraigis, winner of the Bold Ruler (G3) at Belmont and Fire Plug Stakes at Laurel in his last two races, go postward in the Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) Sponsored by Atlantis Dubai; 
• Grade 1 winner Casa Creed, recently second in the stc 1351 Turf Sprint Cup (G3) in Saudi Arabia, and Man of Promise, winner of the Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint (G3), highlight the field for the Al Quoz (G1) Sponsored by Azizi Developments; and
• Grade 1 winner Pinehurst and Grade 3-placed Gilded Age are entered in the UAE Derby (G2) Sponsored by Mubadala. 

In the U.S., Keeneland sales graduates comprise seven of the nine entrants in the Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds, headlined by Risen Star (G2) winner Epicenter, Lecomte (G3) winner Call Me Midnight and Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1) winner Rattle N Roll.   

On the same card, champion Echo Zulu makes her first start since winning the NetJets Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) in the Fair Grounds Oaks. Among her competitors are Rachel Alexandra (G2) winner Turnerloose and Grade 1-placed Sequist.
