4th race [Md 12500, 6F] – (3) Gualillo exits a pair of fourth-place finishes in $20,000 claimers, was taken from the first one, and drops to this lowest level for the first time. (7) Solutions was last seen running for a $100,000 tag at Saratoga. He was third in his debut a year ago in a special weight. (1) Diamond Life was second in a $50,000 NY-bred maiden back in October after setting the pace. Blinkers go on. (6) Trapping Hands showed some speed last time for $20,000.
5th race [Md 12500, 6F] – (6) So Spirited was third in his second career start last month after having the lead in the stretch for Linda Rice. (5) Winegold returned from a four-month layoff to miss by a neck at this level as trainer Leah Gyarmati makes a comeback. (2) Killybegs Kid was second in a similar spot in February. (7) The Hero Code is a consistent performer at this level.
6th race [OC75k/SAL75k, 6 ½ F] – (5) Tiger Rocket was claimed from a four-length win for $50,000 by Rice and went on to run fourth in the Jimmy Winkfield. (7) Wonder Mist was second in an allowance at Turfway Park going a mile as the favorite for Wesley Ward. (6) Southeastern won a $40,000 claimer in February and was fourth at today’s level last month. (4) The Toy Cannon was a 10-length winner and was claimed for $40,000. He used early speed to run second and fourth in similar starter allowances.
8th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (8) Fightforallegiance had his best finish when second last month for Linda. (4) Stream It was third in his two starts this year also for Rice. (7) Resolute Will was fourth at Tampa at 4-1 in his debut last month behind a return winner. (2) Dr. Sinatra showed early speed in all three starts this year and was second in January behind the horse that just finished second in the Wood Memorial.
