1st race [Md 20000, 6F] – (2) No Filter returns from an October layoff after his debut where he set the pace and finished fourth at 5-1 and was claimed for $35,000. (4) Mach Schnell was third in his last two starts facing NY-breds for $40,000. Today’s race has three state-breds that run for a $25,000 tag. (6) Counter Move came back from a three-month layoff and closed to be second at 5-2 in a similar spot. (7) Asked and Answered will make his first start for a trainer that is good with debut runners showing an extensive work tab.
3rd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (1) Marketplaceofideas missed by a head in February at Tampa in her third start with odds of 5-2. (4) Pinch of Bourbon set the pace at Gulfstream Park last month following a five-month layoff and finished fifth after the jockey lost the crop. (3) Deference debuted in February at Gulfstream at 7-1, got to the lead, and ended up fourth. (2) Dimensionality will make her 14th start of which five were on the grass and is a trifecta contender.
5th race [NY, Alw 77000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (8) Burning Bridges debuted on the grass at Gulfstream, set the pace, and ran second. Last time he was a winner of a race that was carded for grass but was run on the Tapeta. (9) Cerro Rico moved from dirt to turf to win his second start in November at Aqueduct at 4-1. (7) Three Thirteen returns from a September layoff when he broke his maiden in his third start against a field of nine. (5) Funny Factor was last seen in November running third in a NY-bred stakes race going a mile on the grass.
7th race [Alw 77000 N1X, 6F] – (1) Pair of Socks (B) ran up on heels, had to check, and finished third. (2) Bostontonian won his first four races at four different tracks for Wesley Ward and makes his first start of the year while shipping up from Keeneland where he had fast workouts. (4) Oil Capital was claimed last year in Kentucky by Linda Rice and has two wins since then including a starter allowance at Aqueduct last month. (5) Antonio of Venice finished in the top three in 7 of his last 8 races.
