2nd race [NY, Md 30000, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Global Charmer (B) stalked the pace in her second start, got the lead, and missed by a neck while finishing well clear of the rest of the field. (4) Ah Ca Ira was second in her last three starts at this level going a mile. (1) Calling an Audible raced against open company in her two most recent starts and had several top three finishes in maiden special weights for NY-breds. (5) Esther’s Salad was second at this level back in December.

3rd race [NY, OC 80k/N1X, 6F] – (7) Three B’s was a seven-length winner last month as an odds-on favorite in a $32,000 open claimer and was taken by Linda Rice. (1) Vekinda finished in the top three in all seven of her races including an allowance last time after her maiden breaker. (2) Village Person broke her maiden at first asking at Colonial Downs last month at 5-2. (5) Naïve Melody was a debut winner in December, was third in a NY-bred stakes race, and gets first-time Lasix.

7th race [NY, Alw 76000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (3) Leo’s Reward (B) had to go eight-wide but fought hard for second three weeks ago and now tries the turf for the first time for a good turf trainer. (8) Bosun made his first start of this year last month and was a debut turf winner at Fair Grounds. (12) Not for Hire was a first out winner by five-lengths on the grass with a front-end effort and then was fifth in the open-company Central Park. (2) Li’l Lang returns from the winter off as one with plenty of excellent grass form last year.

8th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (7) Sir Oscar made two starts in Florida for Graham Motion and shows up now as a new gelding. (3) Coco Sun had a promising debut at Charles Town in February and finished second and now changes to a New York barn for his turf debut. (8) Vitalize was second last year during the turf season at Aqueduct in October and had a pair of top three finishes on the dirt in the late winter. (5) Coach Case will make his debut for the Clement barn after training in Florida.

Best bets: Global Charmer (2nd); Sir Oscar (8th). Best value: Three B’s (3rd); Leo’s Reward (7th).
