3rd race [NY, Alw 81000 N1X, 7F] – (2) Rina’s Revenge (D) was bet down from 11-1 to 5-1 last time when she was fifth in a NY-bred stakes race. She was a debut winner and then tried the Frizette (G1). (6) St. Brigid’s Cross (C) took late money to go from 5-1 to 3-1, ran second all race against open company, finished well clear of the rest of the field, and got claimed for $75,000 by Brad Cox. (5) Pinky Brier was the front-end winner of the race with St. Brigid’s Cross and now has won her last two starts also for Cox. (4) Lady Rose ran against open company in both of her starts including a maiden $75,000 win by almost six lengths.
4th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (4) She’s a Gemma was second by a head in her debut in February at Tampa Downs and then was off until last month when she set the pace. (5) Trango Tower came back from a three month layoff to make her first start since moving to the barn of Linda Rice and finished third. (2) My Sherrona moves from turf to dirt where in January she was second in the Busanda. (6) Tatania made her debut at 7-1 for Chad Brown last month at Churchill Downs and ran fifth.
5th race [Md 50000, 6 ½ F] – (4) Alias returned from eight months off to set the pace, finished third at Keeneland in October, and was claimed for $50,000 by Linda Rice. (2) Magnanimous Max made his second start following 10 months off and ran fifth at 3-1. Blinkers go on with first-time Lasix. (9) Frostelle comes back from a 16 month layoff and when last seen was third in a maiden special weight at Saratoga. (1) Pop Goes the Wiz is a first-time starter for a trainer that is good with debut runners.
8th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (5) Party in the Army hit the board in all starts which includes two state-bred stakes and last month missed the win by a nose after having the lead. (6) Music in Motion moves from turf to dirt after his debut at Aqueduct when he was fourth at 5-1. (8) Pure Mischief set the pace in his second start at the Big A three weeks ago. (7) Central Spirit has a long series of workouts ahead of his first start.
